Should Tecnifibre make this cosmetic change !

G.O.A.T.
Tecnifibre IMO have a lot of white frames and when you go into a shop to see them on the wall the TF 40’s and T Fight racquets from a distance look too similar. Yes those of us who are tennis nerds can see that the TF 40’s are more box beamed but to me they still look alike and I think the TF40’s are such nice racquets that they could do with and deserve a unique paint job.
Maybe Lacoste designers could come up with something very elegant, simple and contemporary so the TF 40 can have a more distinctive look.
What does the forum think!

I liked the V1 TF40 paintjob, simple but distinct.
I also like the predominately white, nice change from all the dark or black racquets.
I do think the little cards make it easy to see which is which BUT, I don't disagree wtih your point.
Something more distinct would be good.

I think having a distinct color scheme for each line is a good idea. Look at Head, Yonex, and Babolat. It’s fairly easy to see what a pro is endorsing when they’re on the court, which is the whole idea behind sponsorships.

I see yellow, I think PA or Extreme. Blue, PD or Ezone. Orange, Radical.

I see white, and while I might think Tecnifibre, I have no idea what line. Sure, Iga has her signature line, but short of that…

Plus, the Strike has kinda established itself as the top white PJ, more so if Rune moves to it.

So, yeah, back to the Samurai PJ (they can sponsor the new Shogun series coming in February…), but different base colors.

They just released their new navy bags. I keep suggesting they should produce racquets that match. Anything would be better than white.

As a branding person, I love how Technifibre "owns" white and achieves a uniform brand high-tech, futuristic feel. I'd keep it that way. In terms of the product line differentiation, I'd introduce a color-coding stripe, like an accent: TF-X1 blue for power, TF-40 black for control, T-fight red, Tempo purple or pink.

White is retro not futuristic.

Copying blue for power, yellow for spin, white for control isn't doing any favors to the vendors copying babolat here.

The play is something different in the hands of players making the finals. Medvedev and Iga having their runs with white frames in their hands gets people who aren't racket nerds asking what are those, and the whole line looking different than the other stuff on the shop wall probably helps too.

Looking different for difference's sake can definitely hurt too - but that doesn't seem to be the case with here

Nonsense - white is the most futuristic color in our culture.

See, for example:

The retro white you're referring to is about Victorian upper class fashion of 19th century. That's where Wimbledon dress code traces its origin.

I agree regarding the whole frame look, but as small accent color-coding the category makes sense - no shame in following the convension to make life easier for customers.

You should look at the history of tennis rackets and you will see why white and lighter colors are retro.
I am not talking about the color white in general or the Wimbledon dress code.

We are in 2023, tennis brands use white to communicate high-tech and futuristic - Technifibre, Head Speed, Babolat Pure Strike, Prince ATS Textreme, Wilson Shift. If you care to look at the actual concept, marketing collateral, design and paintjob of these racquets, they are all futuristic, none are retro.

Sure you can try to change the historical image of white rackets with marketing. I guess it could work with a younger generation.
Also i dont know whats wrong with white retro rackets? They are cool.

Enjoy reading the responses to this thread. Tecnifibre definitely number 5 racquet company in many countries.
Will be interesting to see what Tecnifibre do moving forward.

I was over here in the Dallas area and talked to a Tecnifibre rep about how white the rackets were. He said they look good at country clubs. That’s why they have them all white.

The TFight 315 ATP LTD was a great color way. Black, Red & touches of white. They should keep TF 40 white & TFight back to black/red.

I don't think TF are trying to communicate future, i think theyre trying to communicate monochromatic fashion, French, all white, high end luxury, like Lacoste - Shift, Strike, Speed etc... yeah more future vibes

I have been playing with Yonex Vcore for most of the last year. I literally had no issues with it and loved the racket performance-wise, then I looked at the color. Never been a fan of a vibrant red, and generally have always been a pretty boring white/black guy. In the last month, I switched to tecnifibre solely because I think color-wise it matches me the most.

So I need tecnifibre to stay white with random pops of colors here and there, haha, once it gets too vibrant/saturated with another color, it might be time to call it quits! If I don't like how my racket looks, I'm not fully mentally there for my match!
