I would love to see the algorithm developed and relied upon five summers ago when Maude went berserk and picked apart threads by deleting the most innocuous of posts. @Mike Bulgakov , didn’t you see several thoughts of yours erased simply for referring to historical events from nearly a century ago?Well, with just a little thought, an algorithm could be created that would compare site activity
to some "floating normal" and when that norm is exceeded an alert goes out to the system supervisor
(or wakes him/her up st home) so they can check the situation. If it is benign, they ignore, life goes on. If it is
abuse, they can clean up the mess, all without imposing arbitrary restrictions on the
