Signum Pro Poly Plasma VS Pro Supex Blue Gear

BGB.CA

Rookie
Hey I was just wondering if anybody had some input for SPP Plasma 17L or Pro Supex blue gear 18. I'm interested in both of them but I'm leaning toward the SPPP b/c I don't know of any retailers that carry Pro Supex and TW does carry Signum Pro now. I usually prefer either using thinner gauge softer polys or gut mains w/poly crosses and I'm using the K90. right now I'm using BB TIMO 1.10 I like it because it has decent feel good spin potential and it is quite lively for a poly IMO. If anybody knows how these strings compare to TIMO that would be great or any experience w/either would be helpful.

Thanks in advance :)

You would be better off comparing the Poly Plasma 1.18 to the Big Ace Micro as they are more similar to each other than the poly plasma is to a hex string like Blue Gear.

To answer your question, the Big Ace Micro would be more similar to Luxilon Timo. Its a pretty good all-around string and you should like it more than the SPPP.

I use SPPP for 2 years now. I love them. I tried some other things but nothing is as good as SPPP for me. I brought a few racquets to my stringer last week-end and the ones with SPPP had still good tension while the others (Pro Hurricane Tour, AluPower and an Hybrid with Top Spin and something else) had lost tension. He told me that SPPP was the best at holding tension.

BTW, I used to be a Timo user. But I broked it them often so I changed.

SPPP 1.18's feel is on par with any of the softer polys (BA, CF). It may be a bit more muted, but it still has great touch.
