    Hey everyone,

I've recently been exploring the idea of getting an entry level ball machine. Based on what I've found, silent partner is the way to go. I went on their website and they have a 'spring sale' where the models I'm interested in are about 20% off.

Is this a sale that they have frequently? I'm new to this so want to make sure that I'm not getting suckered into a 'fake sale'

    thanks!

Not usual. Sometimes 10% but I'm not familiar with 20%.

actually...I just calculated again and its actually 25% off for the Star model which is the one I want. Anybody have any idea how often this occurs? sounds like a good deal.

Silent Partner also sells slightly used demo models on an auction site through there own store (silentpartnerbyauction). I just picked up an Edge Sport cheaper than the sale price, and with a 1 year warranty. Might check that out too.

    Hi Bill,

thanks for your reply...I did check out the ones on e-bay but it seems that the sale is even cheaper than that. It doesn't make sense to me but they are selling one machines (with the sale) for less than demos on e-bay.

That seems odd, but whatever works best for you. When I looked, the auction price on the edge sport was much better than the sale price on their web site. But of course, it's slight used, so it should be somewhat cheaper. There is an edge sport on there right now for a buy-it-now price of $650, while the web price is $739. Maybe it depends on the model

the prices on **** are in US dollars while the prices on the website are in Canadian dollars. So the $650 that you see on auction would actually be more than the web price of $739...at least this is my understanding. It doesn't make much sense to me either so maybe I have something wrong.

Interesting... well in my case, I was viewing the silent partner website in the US (the .com site) and the $739 price on that site is in US dollars, as is the $650 price on e-bay. I just confirmed this on the phone with them. I can't see them ever selling a new one below the cost of a used one though.

I hate that perpetual "sale" stuff. So shifty.
