Sinner statement upon WADAS appeal.

Man, what a fecking joke. Like many others, I found the poor approach by the governing body in the first instance to be a blight on the system. I don't know if Jannik is guilty of deliberately using illegal substances, and thought the reasons given in his defence, questionable. But the kid was cleared, penalties imposed.

Now, the issue is resurrected. Yes, WADA have the right to appeal, but what a shambles of a system. The poor kid has it hanging over him again. Just a disgrace.

Unfortunately nothing will happen... Someone can be positive twice and continue playing, someone is suspected seconds after being positive...

If they actually feel they have something legit then go for it, but if they get sent to the can again, they will need to stop complain and own it. You can only keep doing this for so long.
I’m surprised this has been going on for so long, the guy can’t even play freely

well, I think it's because of the egregiousness of how it was handled, Sinner received virtually no suspension at all for not just one but two doping violations, and the whole thing was hidden from the public view and no one knew about it. it's literally unheard of, WADA had to step in. In retrospect, if they had followed the "standard" procedures and more importantly, be open about it, we would have heard this on the news, Sinner was tested positive twice and a provisional suspension of 12 months or more was handed and Sinner was filing an emergency appeal... that's how things should have unfolded here. And based on what we knew now, his team and ITIA were able to resolve this in just a matter of days, again the speed here was unheard of, you can argue this is unfair or the privilege of being rich and famous, but everything would be much more acceptable, he has the resource t move things fast, and we already knew what the the outcome was, the suspension would be greatly reduced, even for 3~4 months like in similar cases, he would still be able to play USO.

A substance that has a huge warning doping label on the packaging, is available only in Italy yet is kept with his team around the world and has been the subject of many doping related stories already?

yes a cream sold without prescption with zero effect on performances. Common sense. That common sense advocated by the same players in the previous doping cases, and now that the International Tribunal acts with common sense, everyone is complaining.

Disappointment and surprise because his getting away with it is temporarily postponed.

Sinner had no idea, how's he supposed to check every cream that his trainer uses on him topically ?? HOW,? Do you ckeck on every message oil that your messeuse uses on you every time you go and get a message ??

No your tests came out positive LOL. Ehh I can see why he should be suspended based upon PR. It sets a bad precedent and optics. If you’re the top guy you’re ok. If you’re a bottom feeding mug you’re gone for a year or more. Ultimately it’s not fair though cause people are using creams and needles and oils all over the tour. . It’s a like P DIDDY party LOL

We are talking #1 in the world, making millions of dollars from prizes and sponsors. Even if Sinner had no idea, he is responsible for hiring a competent team that knows what substances are banned. Players pay by suspensions for violations done by their team. See what happened to Halep who used a multi-vitamin supplement given by her trainer, a supplement that was contaminated in production and without any warnings on the label.

That' some good Multivitamins man,,, where can i buy those ??

and for Sinner, he won Aussie open and US open fair and square because Alcarez was too tired to play even at 50 % of normal at the US open. so Sinner Earned those slams,, and nobody can dispute that (y)

I don't think people are disputing how good Sinner is.

The topic under discussion is that the anti-doping rules didn't apply to Sinner.

So let’s see…

Medvedev wins the AO, Fritz wins the USO.

Dimitrov wins his 2nd ever Masters title in Miami. Tiafoe wins his 1st ever Masters title in Cincinatti.

Hurkacz wins Halle. De Minaur wins Rotterdam.

And if they find discrepancies before that from 2023, Med wins Vienna and Beijing. And I think De Minaur wins his first Masters in Canada.

No need to Ban Sinner.
Just handover the 2024 Aus Open Trophy to Djokovic and then everything else is legit.
His US Open is legit.
On top of this, we should investigate the almost certain Medvedev's doping at USO 21.
Only a guy on potent drugs can finish the match like a dead fish.
Please deliver to Nole the USO and CYGS 2021 immediately.

I Agree, but I don't understand what WADA has to do with tennis, or any sport. IMO, when the ATP decided to clear Sinner, they should have kept it secret.

IF Sinner is banned, the titles he won, would have NO winner for that year. That is what happend when Lance Armstrong's Tours Of France were taken from him, there were NO winners for those years.

The Tour de France chose to vacate the winner's place. Given that this is a race based on time, I thought it to be the wrong decision. It could have and should have chosen otherwise.

You know full well they did not crown a replacement winner because of how far down the placement list they would have had to go to find a clean rider.

Not on tour so it doesn't effect me.. but if can apply a cream to my hands a time or two and it makes me play like Sinner...
I will purchase a tube to keep in my tennis bag and apply before my match..
Maybe then I can win my club championship and hold that beloved title..

Incorrect. Nothing would change. WADA is not seeking to invalidate any results. No one else is seeking that either. No one is even arguing that there's a good reason to consider invalidating any results. It's just self-perpetuating forum nonsense.
