Sinner might be creating a gap with Carlos on HC if he wins sunshine double.

Sinner has now a 94% win rate from 2024 in HC, the dominance is unbelievable, only comparable to peak Rafa on clay.

Carlos also has good numbers, around 85% from 2024 and 78 % in his entire career but not even close to Jannik.

Sinner has 22 titles in HC, meanwhile Carlos only 11.

Its quite clear to me that statistics dont lie, and Sinner is creating a gap on HC.

Carlos tho, is more dominant on clay, like every spaniard, lets see if this year Jannik can overcome that too.

We might be entering an era where Sinner dominates almost every HC event, and grass, and Carlos wins a lot of clay titles, like in the Roger-Rafa era.

Even Peak Sinner couldn't beat Alcaraz on hardcourt :-D and even managed to lose Beijing when Alcaraz was at an all-time low confidence after a disastrous Olympic Final and listless North American Summer 2024.
So any "gap" Sinner creates will be with the weak field, not with Alcaraz.

Binner is definitely better than Carlos on HC up to this point in this career. More consistent, better serve-return complex, higher floor. Part of that is JCF, but part is undeniable that Sinner’s game is suited to HC more than any other surface.

but it’s completely asinine to watch them play against each other and act as if there’s a “gap” in Sinner’s favour considering what happened the last times they’ve played on HC.

HC Slams
Sinner 3 Charly 3

HC MS-1000
Sinner 6 Charly 4

ATP Finals
Sinner 2 Charly 0

Have to give the overall edge to Sinner on HC, but Charly might do some big tings this year to close the gap.

No...

Good for Sinner if he wins Sunshine Double, however someone else whose name is not Sinner won the last 2 HC majors (they are now tied at 3-3 regarding number of HC majors won).

Not to mention that Sinner lost to a 38 year old grandpa at 2026 AO SF (yes that grandpa is the king of AO but Sinner should not be losing to Djokovic anytime anywhere, same goes for Alcaraz)

Oh sure, '25 US & '26 AO counted for nothing! It's only IW and Miami that count!

I don't understand how anyone can treat Sinner fans serously. Alcaraz holds both HC Slams right now. I don't care if Sinner double bageled everyone else to every other HC title since 2025 AO. 1 HC Slam lost can happen (see Fed 2005 AO), but losing both the USO and USO AND to the same guy is not excusable. Sinner is good enough to win some Masters on HC when Alcaraz is eliminated, because even there if Alcaraz reaches the final Sinner folds almost every time. Alcaraz leads the h2h on HC 7-3 against Sinner including 4-1 since late 2023. Let's also not forget the 0-2 h2h for Sinner in HC Slams.

Sinner is absolutely amazing at beating the de Minaurs and Sheltons of the world, but come crunch time Alcaraz has his number by some margin too. Alcaraz is also 2 years younger and coule maybe reaching his peak as we speak. Sinner's peak is either now or maybe even behind him. By 25 the absolute vast majority of players have reached their career highest level (including the big 3). Sinner's highest level was good enough to snatch 1 win against Alcaraz in a 1-7 streak LMAO.

Counted for not getting the gap be too big thats the only reason that keep it close.

I feel that with Alcaraz fans they throw a lot of emotions into the equation meanwhile we only talk about objective facts and %

There's a sizable gap between Alcaraz & Sinner all right, in favor of the Spaniard!

Sinner looking good, will win about 10 less slams than Alcaraz
YEA, YEA!

Exactly. And during all the time where he got dominated by Alcaraz, his fans spoke about him being a GOAT in the making and on track to beat big three records lol.

Lol at this thread btw. Sunshine double so completely pales in comparison to AO/USO double.

Overall, Sinner is still ahead of Calf on hard courts. Three slams each but Sinner has a superior record at tour level. If you count indoor hard with outdoor hard (I would not but some do), there is a gap.

But on outdoor hard it is close and has got a lot closer since last summer, not wider.

I like Sinner but he has some of the most laughable fans ever. They're one braincell away from predicting Sinner 2026 CYGS.

Sinner just won the THIRD M1000 in a row without losing a SET. This IS one of the hardest feats ever done in the sport.
Jannik with this creates a gap with Carlos the Spaniard Will have to do a good clay season if he dosnt want to fall far behind Jannik in their personal competición
