Sinner rushed to hospital. Doctor called back from vacation.

Nole is waiting for an opportunity. Alcaraz already out long term, and if Sinner gets sidelined we already know the remaining active tour has been no competition at slams for over 10 years now.

It would be another asterisked slam but they all count in the total.

"However, Italy’s Gazzetta dello Sport gave a positive update as they reported: “This scheduled check-up forms part of the routine management of a champion’s physical condition as he prepares to face a very intense second half of the season, but it inevitably attracts attention given the time of year and the upcoming events on American hard courts.”

Seems all pretty routine.

Bro needs to skip Sinsinatty. Alcaraz already bowed out. Just wait for US Open. He'll literally have no competition again - at this point he's his own best competition.
Sinner won't have any competition at the US Open, except for Alcaraz and Djokovic who both beat Sinner at hardcourt slams in the last year.
That's why Sinner hasn't won a hardcourt slam since 2025 AO  he just doesn't have the stomach for them anymore...

I don’t think Carlos is playing the open.
If Novak some how can play Jannik in the qtrs with minimal court time through 4, then yes I give him a chance.
Yeah, Carlos either doesn't make it or is a shadow of himself. In regards to Novak, I fear it is now no longer possible for him to not be dragged into absolute wars now. He'll need the starts to align like AO this year to have a chance. For me Zed is in the best position to challenge Jannik. He's in very good form and health, in the 3 other slams this year his record has been very good (SF, W, F) and he'll be in the opposite side of draw than Jannik. Obviously I hope that does not happen, couldn't think of anything worse than Zed winning the whole thing.

From what we saw from medvedev at Dubai and IW, he too can join that conversation. It really was just 3-4 points that , 2 of those he made unusual decisions on, from beating Jannik in that final. Not trying to ignore his clay/grass court swing, but he’s back in his comfort zone. If he picks up where he left off, things could be interesting.

But even with zed, I think we’re grasping here trying to find someone to dethrone Jannik.
I feel like a younger talent with weapons has a better chance. Med and zev no matter how close they come, don’t finish the job.

Interested to see how Fonseca and Jodar play these two M1000s.

Fonseca had set points in Jannik losing 6-7 6-7 back in IW. Both have the fire power and mentality to play with the best.

Yeah, feels like Joao has lost his way a bit since the French though. Whereas Jodar looks to be getting better every tournament. Who knows though. USO always throws up a few surprises, both could end up going on deep runs.

Lol since the French? They were on grass. Jodar didn’t fair well there either. Lol
That’s not a strong argument.

Jodar played DC and did well. Fonseca probably should have played DC.

I’d like to see both make a deep run in Montreal.

Yeah, Rafa has just made final of Washington after a very impressive run, he's top 15 in the world now. I'd say he's going well.
I’m not weighing his or Jao’s grass court season. Neither looked comfortable moving on the surface. And bc the grass season is literally 3 weeks of 250/500/250 then Wimbledon, it’s not a gauge to how the rest of the season will be.

Both will be fine on the hard courts through the end of the year.

Yeah that's fair, excited to see what they can both produce at USO

Can I be bold and say one of these two will win Montreal ? ;) but I haven’t looked at eithers draw. Lol
hey man I'm very high on these youngsters but winning a m1000 event might be a little too soon.

Also Jodar is prolly spent from playing his final monday and flying in yesterday. He's playing a few hours so I wouldn't be shocked if he lost in the 1st round. He'll do better at cincy

It is pretty routine, but that doesn't satisfy the schadenfreude for some of the knuckleheads on here, so hence the 'rushed to the hospital' and 'confirmed not routine' type of bs statements.

I told you. All it takes is carlos and sinner to not show up or not be 100 percent and djoker has a real shot. I mean do we really think Zverev is going to pull off the win vs djoker?
Does Zverev have the capacity and toolbox to beat Djokovic at a Slam? Absolutely.
But does he have the mental fortitude to avoid choking away considerable leads against Djokovic? Questionable, to say the least...

I mean if djoker doesn't bring his top level and zverev does then mental aspect wont come into play.

That said, if djoker can keep it close then it could make zverev blink in the end.

At present, there are no reports of any specific physical problems or the results of the tests. The check-up therefore appears to be precautionary and part of the ongoing monitoring by his team after the issues he experienced in previous months.
Darling Srsh, it seems people are NOT taking your post srshly and are still busy speculating.
