Sinner Sliding into New Records - Beating GOATs

Legend
Sinner is:
- the first player to successfully defend their first men's singles Grand Slam title since 2005-06, when Nadal won his first major at the French Open in 2005.
- the 23-year-old is the youngest player to win back-to-back men's singles titles at the Australian Open since Jim Courier (1992-1993).

- Sinner has equaled Bjorn Borg and Jimmy Connors for the most wins in their first 50 matches as World No. 1. (Neither Rafa, Fed, nor Djokovic have this record)
Sinner is also the first player to claim 10 consecutive straight-sets wins over top-10 opponents since they were firstly published in 1973.

- Sinner has earned $19.7 million prize money in 2024 taking away a record held for a long time by Novak Djokovic. The Serbian champion earned as much as $18 million in 2017.
It is certainly possible he can win 11 AOs and more USOs than Djokovic. What is more intriguing is he took away Djokovic's two long-time trainers. I am certain it bother's Djokovc.

IMO, at comparative ages (23) Sinner has more weapons than Djokovic, definitely a better serve, FH and drop shot. His sliding BH is at least equal to prime Djokovic.
This does not mean he will surpass Djokovic who is very well-rounded. He needs to win 10 slams first or at least win a FO or Wimbledon, then the conversation starts.

Most impressive but the prize money stat doesn't mean much to me. Prize money amounts go up every year. (usually right?) 19.7 million vs. 18 million 7 years ago? That means Djoke probably did more winning than Sinner, right?

It's clear that Sinner is more disciplined and Alcaraz is more talented. Replay of their latest slam encounter, the RG semi, clearly showed that.

Federer, Nadal and Djokovic never stood out, but the case of Carlos and Jannik is clear!

With all that cream on his body, he should be "slip, sliding away".
I love how sports fans have this belief they are the authority on testing and what the outcome should be when the Mt. Everest of evidence from past testing to present day shows there was no intentional or micro-doping to discuss whatsoever. Sinner is a million miles away yet has to be punished. The rush to judgment is comical.

This has been going for around a year, so your idea of a "rush to judgement" is rather comical.

They weren't rushing and no judgement has been shown.

One CYGS for either Sinner or Alcaraz and then the comparison is just with Rocket. The big 3 may be forgotten .

Alcaraz is already doing well in endorsements and Sinner has crossed Djokovic in prize money

I meant to state Alcaraz crossed Djokovic in endorsements already and Sinner will cross Djokovic in prize money in the near future.

Sinner is surely the first AO and USO champion ever to go 0-2 on hardcourt vs. the Roland Garros and Wimbledon champion.
He's sooooo lucky Djokovic took Alcaraz out
Its crazy how one-dimensional Sinner is, with nearly all his titles coming on hardcourt, and still can't beat Alcaraz on hardcourt...
The age gap is also interesting too, Alcaraz has totally figured Sinner out, despite Alcaraz being 2 years younger!

To be considered better than Novak, Sinner needs to win more than 20 slams, more than 400 weeks and 8 years at number 1 and more than 40 big titles.

Youngest tennis No.1 player to be sanctioned for doping? Hard record to beat.
Also, I expect that he holds the shortest saction for doping of a No. 1 tennis player for a very long time.

Definitely GOAT records.

Ayeeeee :D

He’s incredibly fierce, but I think it will be necessary to add more depth to his game as Alcaraz will only become better as time flies on.
What else can Alcaraz improve on besides not missing break opportunities or sometimes just being so casual and cute he loses the game and match?
Sinner has improved more than Alcaraz working on his serve, speed and volleys the last year.
Sometimes a player is who they are at age 22 and beyond.
