Sinner to beat Nadal

Beckerserve

Legend
Watching his match and he has no weakness Nadal can exploit.
The changing of clay court guard is here i am sure of it. Sinner can do everything Rafa can do but better. Bigger FH bigger BH bigger serve better return.
Many will mock this thread and likely be insulting but Sinners time is now. He does not fear Nadal and has a champion mindset.
The crucial factor is Rafa is definitely slow around the court now which at 35 is no surprise. The way Sinner smokes that ball Rafa is going to not be able to stay in rallies.
The match up i think will be like Federer v Sampras all those years ago.
Sinner is absolutely destroying a fabulous young Italian (another one). It is awe inspiringly good.
No disgrace in losing to Sinner for us Rafa fans as Sinner perhaps the guy most of us will support in the future.

Not even possible.

Sinner' ball striking brings best out of Nadal. Sinner needs variety, better serve and net game to hit the next level. Currently I don't think he is good enough pull Big upset like this. But conditions this time at French favour offensive ball striker like him. So I wouldn't get surprised if pushes Nadal hard. If Nadal is slightly off - he might win. Otherwise no.

May well do.

Btw Schwartzmann is now playing insane tennis, wrecking Bedene. If Sinner doesn’t beat Nadal, Diego could too.
Yeah when i saw Diego in Rafa section i did worry a bit but thought his lack of form would be an issue but he is clearly back.

You kind of make my point with if Nadal is off. He has been off all clay court season. He has clutched matches and fought like a lion etc but his actual level is actually not that good.

Just stop it. anti-jinx threads dont work when called out. If you don't stop it i swear ill pay a gypsy shaman to make a voodoo doll of nadal and I'll give it to my pet Bull Terrier to maul. And Federer will then win.

If Sinner somehow overcomes Monfils in the 3rd Round it would be a dream come true for Nadal.
Nadal can get 3-0 H2H lead.
Nadal is 5-0 in sets vs. Sinner.
Sinner will probably dominate 45-year-old Nadal........so Nadal will need to get 10-0 H2H lead before father time takes over....
That is why Sinner is the player I want to see Nadal play in every tournament, to get that 10-0 H2H lead.

Do you not think Rafa looks quite laboured?

That option has been explored

It is not only about weaknesses. It is also about level. If a player is not on the necessary level, he will get crushed, even if he has a well-rounded game. Sinner is not there yet as far as physicality goes, so he will have trouble with Nadal's intensity. He still could win, of course, but it is a tall order.

You like Djokovic so any constructive posts stating Nadal may be a spent force is not what you want to hear as by saying Nadal will win you are trying to cushion the blow if he did by then saying told you so.
Umm Not at all lol. Very rational to think that someone with a leading H2H vs Sinner, won Rome just recently, won this tournament the last 4 times in a row, will be the clear favourite to win a 5 set format match. Even if Sinner pushes Nadal, he can't sustain it to win 3 sets.

Nadal won Barcelona and Rome because of his incredible mobility and energy level........because his serve didn't really arrive until the very end of Rome.
Sinner is nowhere near as good as Tsitsipas/Djokovic........and Nadal beat both of them very recently (and the win over Tsitsipas was almost in straight sets, because Nadal had championship points at 64 54).
And of course Nadal beat Sinner at Rome (and Roland Garros last year).
Thiem beat Nadal on clay FOUR times, including straight sets on THREE occasions........and Sinner hasn't even taken a set, so I don't see any signs of "the changing of the guard".

Would be a real coup if he could and great headlines for tennis. Some positive press!

Rogers not going down as undisputed GOAT. I’ve come to terms with that. My bad, thought you were talking down and tryna get me angry.
No no not at all. Roger clearly GOAT on grass and fast and fast medium courts and Nadal GOAT on slow and slow medium courts

StrongRule on one hand. You on the other. How does VB do it ?

Problem would be if Sinner then went out in quarters. If he beat Nadal he should go on and win the event. That would be huge for tennis
He is not winning the event, lol. Did you see his match against Djokovic in MC? It was a disgrace. He might beat a 35 years old Nadal, but he is not beating Djokovic.

In 2009 Rafa beat Soderling 6-1 6-1 in Rome. We know what happened in 4th round in Paris. Sinner hits bigger than Soderling. Rafa is nowhere near the player he was in 2009.
Ive said it since last October if you check my posts. Sinner will be the guy that topples Rafa.

Seems like the most likely outcome, based on Roland Garros 2020 and Rome 2021....
Your thread may be about 5 years too soon.

That Soderling RG match is irrelevant, because it was a one-off.
In fact Nadal destroyed Soderling in straight sets at 2010 Roland Garros and 2011 Roland Garros....
And its a lot harder to attack Nadal in 2021 than it was in 2009.
Uncle Toni's defensive brand of tennis is DEAD.
Nadal would beat 2009 Soderling if they met today.

I agree he likely loses to Djokovic as Djokovic return is much better than Rafa so he can nullify Sinner serve.
Djokovic is favourite for the event and has been given a cake walk draw to boot.

I hope you are right. I have said IF Rafa can get by Sinner he wins the event. But i said after Nadal v Sinner last October sinner may well beat Nadal in hotter conditions
