Sinner to expose Zverev false dawn

Is Sinner better than other hot young guns ? like FAA and Alcarez ? Brooksby don't count, he's still a rookie

He's very good, but better? It's interesting that Sinner played Alcaraz in a challenger back in 2019, and Alcaraz won. Alcaraz would have been about 16 then? But clearly Sinner's ranking is higher.

With Auger-Aliassime, I think it's a bit closer, with Sinner having more titles. They've yet to play, but I've been waiting for this matchup for a while. I think it will be interesting, at least on hard courts.

First, no one disagrees with the fact that he speaks German, but to call him a German is silly, but to call him an Austrian is not (and he himself has said his hometown is "completely beside Austria"). There is a distinction and has been since 1871, even before the 20th Century.

I don’t know which part you don’t understand. He’s an ethnic German from the previously Austrian South Tyrol that now is part of Italy. He can call himself Swedish or Italian or Sokovian if he wants. That’s not the point.

Is Thiem German? Is Djokovic Croatian?

Is Thiem German? Is Djokovic Croatian?
Thiem is Austrian, Djokovic is Serbian by nationality. By ethnicity, Thiem is German, Djokovic is mixed Serbian and Croatian.
To illustrate further, Zverev is a German of Russian ethnicity who identifies as a German.
Oezil is a German of Turkish ethnicity who identifies as a Turk.

Yes, but I like said, nobody calls Djokovic Croatian or Thiem German!

Does Sinner actually pronounce his own name with the hard "S" sound? It's a German/Austrian name so I always assumed the S was pronounced like a Z.
