Tell me Sinner doesn't look like a young Undertaker.

He has his cold blooded ruthless killing streak in him also.

At this rate, with no meaningful rival on the horizon, Sinner is guaranteed at least 12 of the next 20 Slams. If we have another lost gen, the floodgates will open for world record numbers. This is undeniable.

Do you see him breaching the gates of Wimbledon soon?

I doubt Carlos will be that much of a threat on clay as Sinner will be on HC. There's a reason I called for CYGS or 3 slams for Sinner , with a bit of luck he could have won 3 slams this year . This was his first prime year on your so it's asking for way too much. Next year i am calling for 3 slams a year for him.
Without a bit (or many bits) of Clob he'd be hovering around top10 with zero slams.

To be serious (as I'd be surprised if he actually did win at least 12 of the next 20) yeh I think he'll at least reach a final there over the next 2 years. I mean, who else is there, really? Old man Djokovic, who I still don't rule out, and maybe Fritz (being disgustingly generous). Alcaraz is fave, though. Sinner is apparently truly hitting stride, hitting prime now though, so Alcaraz needs to respond in general next season to Sinner's quite complete game.

What also needs to be appreciated is how Sinner bounced back after that insane match against Alcaraz heading into this, that was a very tough loss, he just put it behind him and went back to work. That is the sign of the best player on the planet....the week in week out consistency. Djokvoic hasn't played a bad match overall, yes, poor net play, but he has been rushed by Sinner's firepower.

Does seem to be that Alcaraz could lose to a random player while Sinner himself doesn't lose unless he has to face Alcaraz.

If Carlos can be consistent enough he'd dominate the tour because he dominates Sinner. But he unfortunately has these losses to bad players.

I'd say it's Alcaraz > Sinner when they play eachother but Sinner > Alcaraz in terms of consistency.

Sinner’s mentality is so impressive. He doesn’t get flustered by anything. A great champion.

A very solid match from Sinner today in all fairness, he's right back in his comfort zone and deservedly in front

Fred in the audience - I wonder if he sees shades of his 2004 self in Sinner/Alcaraz...

This is how I see it too. Sinner is so consistent against the field and better. However, alcaraz is better in the bigger matches. Of course this could change either way but where we are. That said even when alcaraz beat sinner they were all close matches. Alcaraz got the better of him but they were epic games decided by a couple points.

I think his grass game would trouble Carlos, Sinner won Halle this year and was unlucky to run into Meddy and lost in 5 ( wall) ,he hates playing Meddy. There's no reason why his high percentage , controlled aggression , minimal risk approach won't translate on grass when it did for Djokovic? But he needs a better serve for sure, his serve was a let down vs Meddy at sw19.

The H2H between Alcaraz and Sinner is 6-4, that is not domination. All three matches this year went the distance, the last match in particular, Sinner was leading in the final set tie break. Their matches are closer than what most people think. So I will partially agree with you here. Just last year Sinner was leading the H2H against him, and overall was 2-1 in 2023 matches.

Djokovic looks like he doesn't care any more.. Still a pretty good tournament for a 37 year old casual player...

He is 7-1 against Meddy in the last 12 months, why would he hate playing Meddy?

Sinner's ground game is just ***** relentless.

Honestly, credit to Carlos for managing to edge him out with his shotmaking so many times this year.

3-0 is 3-0.

Sorry but he won all 3 matches this year when they both won 2 slams.

3-0. Not one win by Sinner. True?

Alcaraz has had his number and been the better player in big matches. That said you right they were close matches and decided by just a few points. I expect always close matches between them going forward and they will trade wins. Alcaraz and sinner will likely meet in all finals on all surfaces as they get more dominant.

Remember, Sinner literally broke Machac's racket yesterday with his relentless firepower and he apologized to him. Djokovic is still in the mix, but it is clear Sinner is the best in the world now, week in week out, even if Alcaraz arguably has the highest ceiling.

I don't think anyone reasonable will contest the Big-4-ian consistency Sinner has displayed. Peak Sinner is here.
