I might be wrong here. Sinner on a mission himself
Glad you are seeing the light son, I called it before Sinner got injured. Baby Sinner had Nadal on ropes in one set and his clay prowess was always there

No. But I am terrified by the level of mediocrity that I am seeing from these Next Gen mugs. Sinner and Alcaraz are going to have it easy for the foreseeable future.
Sinner will only have an easy go of it because of the lack of competition.Sinner will have it easy because he's so much better than his peers like Fed was in his 20s.

He probably wouldn't win a slam in any other era.
Yes. That's true. But he has nobody else to contend with that is truly decent.Sinner will have Alcaraz who is far better than Roddick, Hewitt etc.
Alcaraz i think is better than Sinner on clay but your point is well made. Unless some other players step up, Sinner and Alcaraz if they stay motivated and playing for another 20 years will easily hit 30 Majors each. The gulf between them and the rest of their peers is as big a gulf as i have ever seen and they are only just now hitting their peaks.Glad you are seeing the light son, I called it before Sinner got injured. lol no they won’t. Nobody is coming close to 20+ any time soon let alone 30.Alcaraz i think is better than Sinner on clay but your point is well made. It is very feasible Sinner and Alcaraz split all 4 Majors this season. If they average 2 a season for 10 years thats 20plus...theyd only be early 30's and in 10 years medical science will allow players to play longer at their peak anyway. Unless a couple of other players step up, Sinner and Alcaraz are going to rewrite the record books simply because there doesnt seem to be much else out there at their age.lol no they won’t. Shanghai will be a Grand Slam within 5 years. I think Indian Wells will be a Slam as well, i think Miami will be gone.lol no they won’t. Nobody is coming close to 20+ any time soon let alone 30.

Even the 36 year old Djokovic has made short work of Sinner and Alcaraz on multiple occasions.
Got Carlitos in 5.I got sinner in 4
Took 5. Alcaraz really hit his top gear in last 2 sets. Sinner didn’t have an answer to the variety.Alcaraz will wipe him out in 4.

Hopefully that puts the Sinner fans to chill a bit now lol
Neither are going to be a slam. I don't know if this is rampant trolling or some other affliction. This is cut and pasted from another source giving the reasons why it won't happen:Shanghai will be a Grand Slam within 5 years. I think Indian Wells will be a Slam as well.
The economies are shifting , Saudi money is needed , tennis interest is concentrated in specific areas .Neither are going to be a slam. I don't know if this is rampant trolling or some other affliction. This is cut and pasted from another source giving the reasons why it won't happen:
- The Grand Slams exist independently of the ATP and WTA Tours. So those bodies have no authority to create a new Slam. Further, the existing Slams have no reason to allow or recognize a new one. They gain nothing from its addition.
- The Grand Slams have existed for decades, and since long before tennis gained attention as a global sport. Part of the reason the Slams have the importance they do is because of their age. You can’t just make something instantly old.
- It’s hard enough just to add any tournament to the main tour calendars, let alone one with the distinction of being one of the top events.
- The tennis calendar is already very crowded. The players tend to periodize their play and create their calendars around peaking at the Slams. With Roland Garros and Wimbledon already too close together, the players would surely object to adding even more stress to the calendar in the form of another two week, best of five event that they have to try to achieve peak performance at.
- It would probably have to displace at least one, and probably two existing events. Whichever events already exist in the proposed time slots would surely fight against allowing a new Slam to take over their slots, and the tournament owners have quite a bit of power.
- There have been various tournaments (most notably Miami and Indian Wells) that have referred to themselves as “The Fifth Slam”. There have also been huge money tournaments added to the calendar (e.g. Grand Slam Cup), and important year end championships (e.g. ATP Tour Finals). Yet none of those have ever been given even slight consideration as an actual new Slam. There isn’t really anything else that could be done to merit inclusion that hasn’t already.
Why not have 20 odd grand slams each year, 3-4 years and someone will overtake Djokovic. It’s all stats isn’t it.The economies are shifting , Saudi money is needed , tennis interest is concentrated in specific areas .
It is very much possible to have IW or Saudi as a 5th slam
I think slams need to be one per country. We don't need two US0.Shanghai will be a Grand Slam within 5 years. I think Indian Wells will be a Slam as well, i think Miami will be gone.

Stupid thread. He played the match of his life and still lost to an out of form Alcarez.
Good call mate
it doesnt matter, he wouldnt win it anyway, it was clear right after that moment him winning ao titleThread was made before he got injured and it impacted his form, anyway I have Sinner as favourite for Wimbledon and USO.
I placed a bet on Zverev at +1500 odds. I didn’t bet on Sinner for this tournament young sir

You want to see my payout? I’m due 3000 usdSo you were telling others to bet on Sinner while you were betting on Zverev ??
Stop lying....tell the truth....You lost just like that boring dull Sinner ??

Well he had a solid run taking Carlos to 5 and the fact he’s been injured the last few months. He wouldn’t have won the title anyways most likely . Doubtful Carlos does either with the form Zverev is in. So no harm. I bet he wins it next year or the year after. I still believe a calendar slam in his future in the next 2-3 years
He needs to get a few clay titles under his belt pre RG and bring the form to the slam. That injury bungled that chance this year. But he will be healthy again
Heck If he doesn’t get injured this year he may have very well won RG.
Zverev is gonna be hard to beat if his first serve percentage is high. He’s hitting the cover off the ball. I don’t think sinner was healthy enough for movement to keep the rallies hard hitting
From what I’ve seen. Carlos/Sinner were playing for second place anyways
I have bets on Sinner for Wimbledon and USO at +1400 each, so I’m due 12,000 if he wins bothSo you were telling others to bet on Sinner while you were betting on Zverev ??

Aah the famous injury excuse is out. LolThread was made before he got injured and it impacted his form, anyway I have Sinner as favourite for Wimbledon and USO.
It's not injury excuse. Read it carefully. He was injured and it derailed his form. I didn't say he wasn't fit .Aah the famous injury excuse is out. Lol
If you are injured just don’t play the tournament or retire lol. Blaming loss to excuses - we have seen it before. It’s just a cover lol

Fair. Though form was just as it was in the run to semis.
What changed?
True ,Sinner looked bang average. I don't know why he was pushing after first set. He made barely 35 winners in 5sets. He played an average match and yet it took Carlos 5 sets to beat him.
After first set Sinner was happy to just redirect balls to Carlos.Carlos was aggressor here making almost double winners and Sinner just a retriever, that's weird as hell.Yep. If he kept his first sets aggression he wins easy over Carlos. I’m not convinced he wasn’t injured or didn’t aggravate some kind of pre existing injury. His arms were bothering him. Looks like they went limp at one point
He was in imperious form till Madrid and on a run . An injury break can detail your form, it happens. Full credit to Carlos but Sinner played an average game yet it took Carlos 5 sets. I won't be happy if I was a Carlos fan.
