Sinner will win USO 2024

G.O.A.T.
As i predicted post Wimbledon that Sinner is absolute lock for USO , Djokovic was too happy and satisfied after getting his elusive Olympic medal and Carlos has been bang average on HC for a year. Many cocky Carlos fans trolled us for saying this. He's the better player and is on the right process, Carlos winning two slams out of nowhere but thin margin after doing absolutely nothing for a year have fooled many people. Meanwhile Sinner has been improving and focussing on the process, result will follow. Hell yeah , get ready for Sinner's dominance.

...soon... very soon

Between him and Zverev, if that's the final Sinner has the edge I think with the confidence of the Cincinnati win but if Medvedev does him a favour and takes out Sinner like at Wimbledon I think Zverev beats Med in the final

Overwhelming favourite now. Zverev and Med up there but hard to overlook Sinner now the draw has opened up so easily for Jannik.

Sinner fans have been ridiculed, laughed at , called meme but we will be proven right eventually. Sinner will dominate HC slams for years and also win Wimbledon and RG here and there.
You’ve been ridiculed for how you treated Alcaraz and said Sinner would win CYGS and then doubled down and said he’d win Wimbledon and he lost that.

You are a meme. Even if Sinner wins here thanks to the draw opening up :)

The Open suddenly turned kinda fun. So many guys could take the title. Sinner is obviously the favorite. But it's been so long where we didn't assume any Slam would go to Rafa/Fed/Novak and then (to a lesser extent) Carlos.

Cry harder , I called for Sinner's dominance and with a year end number one and two slams it's a good start, yes CYGs will also follow .

Med's game is going to wear Sinner down so much that all he'll be doing by the 4th set is clutching his hip while grimacing.

You said he’d win the CYGS this year and he failed. You then said he’d win Wimbledon and he failed. You became the meme of the forum as you speak of. You continued to bully Alcaraz and never apologised. You continued to fail.

Even if Sinner wins this US Open you were a laughing stock.

Sinner was a strong favorite heading into the US Open, so that hasn't changed. However, nothing is ever a given, especially in this sport. Assuming the draw holds to form on his side, Sinner will still have tough matches from Paul, Medvedev, (probably not DeMinaur in the semis), and maybe either Zverev or one of the Americans in the final.

No matter what happens, there is a lot of opportunity for many players and this is fun!

Except meddy I don't see anyone beating Sinner , Z is unreliable in final ( even though I want him to win )

Djokovic's idiotic Gold medal really cost him this Slam.

The focus he had at the olympics took away all the attention span and focus here, meanwhile Sinner was focused on this slam all this while.

Z+ Sinner were not going to be easy for him. Also, he has won everything he wanted , there's nothing lost here, dude is happy af , a national hero, what else he needs?

Yep, I agree. I'm just saying that it's not time to get out the Sharpie and write his name in as the champ yet. He still has some work to do and the nature of tennis is that upsets happen. Coming into the tournament, I wasn't convinced that Sinner's hip was 100% healthy or that he'd be able to emotionally stand up to the reputational scrutiny from the anti-doping fiasco, but he's looked good so far.

I’ll revisit this thread when Sinner loses this tournament. If he doesn’t, I’ll check back when their careers are over and Sinner has six or seven fewer Slams than Alcaraz. That said, I might forget because, in the end, people will likely be laughing at the comparison we’re making between two players of different levels—one is a generational talent, the other is just an all-time great.

IMO Djokovic should only rest after he wins his 25th which will automatically make him the oldest winner of a slam breaking Rosewall's record.

Anyway, I am still ok with Sinner winning this slam instead of Medvedev. Medvedev is too boring, doesn't deserve a 2nd slam as that would put him above Roddick. Roddick lacks self respect and so I have no desire to see Med win.

Zverev winning would be great but even that is not happening

Blaah blaah, go cry somewhere else. Sinner's dominance is there , till FO be quiet now and yeah leave me alone , don't bore me.

Anyone winning second slam would deserve it, Meddy has made many deep runs and finals on HC slams so second slam won't be undeserving but i don't want to see him winning, I dislike him.

Sinner the favourite now. However, this gives a big boost to Zverev and Meddy too. It is wide open and looking forward to see who takes his chance. It going to be interesting.

As we predicted it getting harder and harder for Djokovic in slams. He might not win another now but if not it’s been some ride. He got the Olympics but bar that it been a struggle for him all year in slams.

Yeah , Med the wall is only player I am worried about but he will get it done against Meddy I think.
Unfortunately for him that'll only be the quarters. Even if he wins it, he'll need plenty in the tank to get over the finish line of 2 more matches.

I find it quite funny that alcaraz and Djokovic went out. There was too much attention on them and we forgetting great players like sinner/meddy/zverev. All of them are worthy winners and may the best player win.

The box of cream that was "accidentally" applied to Sinner literally says Doping on it lol

“According to Italian law, a visible sign indicating the presence of a substance included in the WADA list of prohibited substances must be present”, reads the paper.

Trofodermin cream, as mandated by law, is sold in a packaging emblazoned with a warning that the product contains a doping agent. This warning would seemingly make any argument of inadvertent use untenable. A warning so problematic that athletes’ lawyers have had to address the warning head-on during disciplinary hearings.

Dominance? He lost the last two slams and has just two Masters this year. You need to look up the definition of dominance.

As a counterpoint, Sinner has a 50-5 record on the year so far, which is a 91% winning percentage. He also leads the tour in titles won at 5, and of course, is world #1.

Taking the most titles, being ranked at the top, and winning better than 90% of your matches is pretty dominating. And things are looking good for Jannik as he heads into the indoor Autumn season, where he historically plays some of his best tennis.

Damn man!! I like Sinner as much as the next guy but his fans make it impossible for me to support him. All that gloating and belittling Alcaraz with a single slam is too much for me. Alcaraz has literally beaten either Sinner or Djokovic to win all his 4 slams. I really don’t know why Sinner fans gloat so much. Let the guy win lol.

PS: I really wanted Sinner to win this USO as it keeps the Sinneraz rivalry closer but looking at these type of posts I am rethinking my stance.
