Great holds by both players, it is so close now. Who is going to blink first.

SInner ruthless, game in his hand.

Erratic forehands from Djokovic and gets broken. This is stuff we just didn't see in 2023 from that forehand. This is good practice though so he sees where he needs to tighten the ship.

PATHETIC from Sinner. Had 3 points on sitters. Lost ALL of them. Cannot hit smash winners, pathetic drop shots, cannot hit a good passing shot.
A younger Novak would be DESTROYING this prime Sinner. Just goes to show the skill gap between new gen and the big 3.

That is so great but also painful to watch: Sinner peaking and can go up and up. Novak at his age must fight double hard to keep the level, the heart and passion all there, but the old age counting in this very close matches.

I think Djokovic is still playing at a high level for his age. I do think he needs to hire a coach on his team though because his shot selection and strategy in playing Sinner is hit or miss. He makes costly tactical mistakes.

His strategy is simply trying to get errors from sinner bh

That fh to fh is killer now. Sinner can go down the line nuclear or hit cc.

Let's not mess with that forehand, only go to it for getting weaker shot and go to backhand.
