Would be very interesting if Nadal's only slam next year were AO rather than FO.

One thing we're overlooking in the Big 3 (or 2, if you like) is that Nadal is almost overdue for an injury. It's been a while...

I just don't see these guys dominating anymore. I've been wrong about this before though, obviously.

Nadal goes all out for the AO but subsequently is not physically able to win the French against Thiem.

Until one of them makes a breakthrough at a slam, those are my picks as well. USO 2020 featured two massive chokers with a default winner of the dude who choked slightly less. Had Djoker not defaulted himself, he would have won that easily.

For all those choosing Thiem, Med, ********** or Zverev: do you honestly believe they could serve out a match against either Nadal or Djokovic in a slam final?

I can't wait for Novak to win Australia and we can start talking about the Calendar Slam again...
I'm sure that'll happen to some degree because it always does, but I suspect it'll be a little tempered next year given how soundly Nadal beat him at RG this year.

US Open is the most likely to feature a new winner or surprise winner as usual.
Wimbledon I think will be a Big 3 win (again) given their grass prowess. No idea what form Federer will show in 2021 - if he's able to resurrect even 2019 level play he's got a great shot
Australian Open - Djokovic the favourite, though it's not inconceivable that someone else wins under the right conditions and circumstances. No idea who.
French Open - Nadal probably has this locked down once more and is certainly the massive favourite. Performance at lead up clay tournaments is largely irrelevant - someone would have to play out of their mind to beat him, and he's generally beatable only before the semis.

The "blue sky" scenario is that guys like Thiem / Medvedev translate their WTF success to the Slams and start winning them / blocking the Big 3 on a more consistent basis.

Most probably it'll be
AO: Djokovic
FO: Nadal
Wimbledon: Djokovic
USO: Nadal/Djokovic (non Big 3 win most likely to happen here here out of all 4)

Hmm. I’ll be optimistic and go:

AO: Medvedev (Djokovic has looked a little suspect since the tour’s resumed, so a loss here wouldn’t shock me and Med’s as likely a pick as any to take advantage)

FO: Nadal (duh)

W: Djokovic (of all the slams, this is the one where Next Gen has made the fewest in-roads, so Novak’s experience on the surface will see him through)

US: Zverev (someone new, at least, and Z made some big strides in the majors this year and ordinarily is not a big choker in big matches so I fear for whoever faces him in his next slam final)

Nadal is overwhelming favorite at Roland Garros.

Djokovic is clear favorite at the Australian Open and somewhat clear favorite at Wimbledon, albeit less so than at the Australian Open (both because Wimbledon is further away and because he's not quite as good on grass, but on the other hand, nor is the field).

The US Open is much more open.
