Med still has to win Miami which is far from a given. Also, if Djokovic makes the FO final he should be fine as I fully expect him to win Wimbledon and from there it'll be Meddy's points that start dropping.

If he doesn't win a GS title before reaching that goal, it will look a bit shallow I think!

Assuming he wins Miami then he has a chance if he can replicate his 2019 clay season. Made SF at Monte Carlo and finals at Barcelona after beating the likes of Tsitsipas, Djokovic, Nishikori and other clay courters like Jarry and Vinolas.

2 SF at Madrid and Rome this time around could be enough to seal it before RG assuming Djokovic doesn't make any of the clay master finals. Considering Djokovic can also meet Nadal or Them(if fit) as in semis makes it a bit more difficult for Djokovic.

Though it may not last long depending on his results after Wimbledon.

No ones gives a s*** other than Medvedev, his coach + his family. The big 3 clearly have more important priorities with winning slams. If the big 3 were playing to reach number 1, Medvedev would stand no chance.

It's like Thiem at the US Open last year. It doesn't count as a proper slam win when 2 of the big 3 don't play and the other one gets disqualified.

I think Rublev is the next new #1. Looks like the most motivated player on tour to me.

I think Rublev has that champion's grit, too. I know some people are saying he lacks the talent, but he has that focus and determination.

2011 or 2015 Djokovic ought easily to at least replicate their wins at AO, WI, or UO, sure. Could give Nadal a battle royale at Roland Garros, certainly, but I don't know that Nadal is so much worse than he was that I'd say Djokovic would "walk" it. Perhaps Djokovic would be slight favorite, but not prohibitive favorite, I don't think.

Pretty sure Djokovic of 2012 or 2013 would win AO, WI, and UO in 2021, too, TBH, unless there were a gale in New York. But even in the gale, he almost beat Murray and I think he'd be able to take this year's crop. I would have said Djokovic of 2014 would win AO, WI, and UO in 2021, and I think he would win AO - it took an immense performance from Wawrinka to stop him. But the Djokovic who lost to Nishikori at the US Open could definitely fail to win the 2021 UO even against the current field.

He's still really good. But he's not the player he was in 2011 or 2015 anymore, and only his serve has improved really. I think 2011 Djokovic walks the Grand Slam.

Hes going to be #1 after Wimbledon as long as he doesn’t completely blow it in the first 2 rounds.
He actually needs to go pretty far. QF or better, I think. His best is a 3R, but in fairness, it was well before he was a top player in the world. I think he should reach the semis or better, barring a QF meeting with Roger. He could beat Roger, but tbh I don't think his chances would be very good.
