Sleeveless muscle shirts just look …unprofessional to me in a tennis tournament.

Far from a trashy club. Doubt you could afford it. It’s to keep the trash out and to have some dignity and class. But you can wear your chains and wife beater.
A shirt one wears regardless of sleeves has nothing to do with how trashy they are or aren't. Get your head out your ass. Both of you actually.

Money and power can't buy good taste and class.
You can, however, get class with a capital 'K'.

I'm glad Alacaraz finally started wearing shoulder sleeves, particularly in his recent visible matches with Nadal and Djok, where prior he looked like an nba player with his tanktop. Now that he's signed on with Rolex, highly doubt when he makes it to Wimbledon, that it'll be the same tanktop dress look he had throughout the season last year.

For me the behavior usually overcomes the bad dress sense but displaying too much in tennis a bit off pudding :)

Even Dominik Hrbaty was able to make his shoulders look as bad as Lecontes camel crutch

Aesthetically I don’t think they look good. But if pros want to wear them, I don’t have a problem with it. I don’t think it looks unprofessional as these are athletes playing a sport often in hot weather and it seems appropriate attire.

I see many more examples of more inappropriate attire not matching the setting or activity in real life on a daily basis outside of the tennis setting.

It might not look professional but if it's hotter than 80 degrees on court (for me as a rec-player) the less fabric on my torso the better. I overheat.. so I'm not mad at them.

There's a sleeveless out there for every build.

Some people (like me) really benefit from a deep scoop in the neck and thin straps.

Rune looks really good with some fabric on the shoulders and deeply scalloped armholes.

Almost no one looks good in the Fritz kit above, with tight armholes, thick straps, tight crew neck...

Tiafoe's outfit looks like Basquiat threw up all over it.

Jackson Pollock. Lol.

I actually think he's sort of pulling it off. I don't get why people get upset. 90% of tennis clothes are not noteworthy. That a few players occasionally have some fun with tennis fashion - big deal. Unprofessional? It's not an office job. Their profession is to run around and hit a ball and grind physically. That doesn't necessitate a certain style clothing.

That soft rock era of old bleached blond creeps didnt help a young Agassi in so many ways
All those years of Clorox didnt help his hair follicles.

Watching Zverev right now in the semifinals of the French Open. Skinny guy wearing what we used to call a muscle shirt just looks so white trailer trash to me. For the weekend warrior behind the junior high hitting and shanking balls, not for a major professional tennis tournament. A wife beater we call them, because every guy getting arrested on tv for beating his wife….is in cuffs wearing one.

We don’t even allow them at my club, even on the outside courts. A guy asked our pro why he couldn’t wear one, the pro said, “trust me, no one wants to see you in a sleeveless shirt”.
lol you just summed up why tennis is stereotypically seen as an elitist snob sport
