Slice or kick serve?

I, the noob, have mastered the flat serve with a bit of slice, now wnats to master either the slice or kick serve?

Which should i master for my 2nd serve? slice or kick? In my opinion, kick is kinda hard for me because i so bad at tossing the ball, for every of my first serve i had to toss the ball at most 3 times to be accurate to when i have to hit the flatty serve. I am horrible T_T (needs training for tossing also...duhhhh)

You should probably master the toss then ;)

Personally, I'm trying to master a kick-serve. Last time I joined a club there was a guy with a ridiculous kick-serve. It was up near my head if I stood near the baseline, and I'm nearly 190cm tall. It proved very annoying to return, so I'm trying to develop one too.
 
kick serve. start now, be happy when you get a really kick ass one. i played a junior that played for 6 years, his kick serve basically goes above my head (i'm 5 feet 6 inches)

do u have a high toss? extend ur arm throughly when u toss the ball?

keys to a consistent toss- extend ur arm, don't palm the ball, roll the ball off ur fingers. Pending on the type of serve, i like to add a little spin when i toss the ball for added friction when brushing through the ball
 
for an effective kick serve, the toss needs to be slightly over your head at around 11 o'clock. make contact on its decent and brush up and through to apply spin
 
Both. If you've got a flat serve, you can mix all three up with great results and use your slice as your second.

The spins and pace differentials will have your opponents constantly guessing. Plus the kicker and the slice look a lot alike until they hit the court - and are very similar to learn.

Is a kick serve much tougher on the body/likely to cause muscle pulls than a slice serve?

depends how u hit it. if you use more of ur back than legs then yes u will pull something. as for the slice u can get away with just using ur arm and less with the legs.
