Sliding on hard courts?

Hello all- Just wanted to know how many of you slide on hard courts like me? And also what shoes are the best for sliding on hard courts? I have tried several shoes but can't find anything like the nike zoom breake 2k12 shoe. However, I can't find those anywhere. What shoes do you guys use to slide on hard courts?

Of the 3 top of the line nike shoes currently I found the lunar ballistics to be the easiest to slide in on hard courts. I just couldn't do it with the cages. With the lunar ballistec I found the cushioning and stability perfect when sliding and it made it a good amount easier. As for the vapors it was something in between the lunar ballistec and cage. I could still slide with the vapors just not as easily or as comfortable when doing it with the lunar ballistecs. One of my friends slides a good amount with the gel resolution 5 and barricade 7.

I use the Head Sprint team, these are good for sliding in my opinion but they lack endurance. On hardcourt I go trough a pais of shoes in about two months, I think I will be trying out the new Head revolt pro/team to see how they feel!

I feel like the lunars were made for sliding as I was sliding like crazy even though I didn't mean to. Barricades give me grip and slack to slide when o wanted to

I agree that the lunar ballistecs are good for sliding on hard courts... I slide on hard courts occasionally out of instinct and they have a good balance between traction and letting me move a bit, so I don't destroy my knees.

I slide a lot...... Maybe a couple feet if I try and in order of best to worst I've tried:

Nike Zoom Vapor 9.5, Nike Lunar Ballistec, AGR5, and barricade 7 are by far the worst shoes for sliding (so stable and have great traction)

I will agree with lunars being good for sliding and baricades no good. Cant say for the others.

Interesting that you guys say that, because I almost found it the opposite. The lunars were very hard to slide in and the barricades are easy to slide in but only when running reeeallly fast. The asics gel speeds are only 60 bucks on tennis warehouse so I might just stock up on those.

i slide on hard courts deliberately and often unintendedly due to my worn air max cages.. the 6 month guarantee kinda forces me to wear them after the point where traction is merely an afterthought

Yeah I love a good slide. Tricky with very new shoes. Often the grip is a bit too much. No particular shoes have proved better. I've been OK with KSwiss, Lotto and my current Nike's.

I was wondering about that. I'm exactly 1/2 way on my LBs just got to smooth - not a big slider, more a micro slider/pivoter. Not sure I want to risk injury for a voucher.

it is a tough call.. never been hurt..but it could happen at any time.. i burn through shoes silly fast.. 6-7 weeks.. so the voucher is the only way i can justify buying nikes.. 2 pairs for a hundred is still kinda rough when both pairs are dead within 4 months

6-7 weeks? Damn dude, I play like 5-7 hours a week, sometimes more if I can get a day or two off work and still my LB's are going strong after about 4-5 months. I'm actually hoping I don't wear them out, because they're my favorite pair of shoes.

In my opinion, barricade 8 slides extremely well. Solution speed is also extremely good, however I put a hole in the side of the left shoe in 2 weeks. Lunars are also great for sliding and have really durable uppers, more so than the barricade 8+, which has a hole on the side after 2 months
