Smart Racket. Nadal uses it in Melbourne. How is it?

Nadal is NOT using that racquet by the way.

Rafa's racket has PLAY technology.

data from his practice:

So Daniel, Rafa still uses his Custom frame and just has the play hardware installed in the handle?

PLAY technology is built into the handle of the rackets.

The last unstrung specs I saw for Rafa was 320 grams and even balance. That was from last year, he may have updated for 2015.

Blue light is flashing so it's real Babolat play aeropro.
Obviously rafa version. Not retail Babolat play aeropro

Sorry, it's completely up to Rafa and his team. Stay tuned...

If he was truly using it on court and it's not just a blue light installed for giggles I don't see why Babolat wouldn't have him agree to post the results of each match. Could they really provide any real advantages to opponents?

With all the racquet company deception nowadays I must say you guys have earned the distrust and skepticism.

As Rafa is the one playing the matches, we believe it is his decision to share.

Is PLAY technology built into the handle of Nadals match rackets during his 2nd round Australian open match though?

One could interpret your answer to mean rackets in general, not specifically Nadals during match play.

Yes.

The rackets Rafa continues to use in practice and in matches (including the Australian Open 1st and 2nd rounds) are all the same rackets and have Babolat PLAY technology. He used them in his first round match but forgot to turn them on. He used them in his second round match and turned them on (see links/images of him turning racket at ball change and the blinking blue light ).

We are letting the players decide if they want to share their data or not. They play the matches, we just make the tools. Hopefully Rafa will share his data soon. Stay tuned.

or a simpler answer: Rafa uses the same rackets in practice and in matches.

I've had a 10 min hit with the one you can buy.
Really interesting seeing how many / what spin FH & BH you are hitting. How many are in the sweet spot etc.

I didn't get my data though, just had a quick look on someone else's phone.

The Racquet played very nicely BTW, hand built the shop guy told me.
