So, any pros using the over hyped super amazing Clash?

Her old "Burn 100's" were on sale on the bay a while ago, and might still be now. I'd guess she's still using the same prostock under Clash paint (for today's most obvious statement).
She does use a very light racquet having held it when she played in Macon back in October

She's using a real Clash with lots of lead. If it's not a retail one, then its something has the same beam design and shape, stringing pattern, grommet set, and rubber paint.

This is what she was playing with before "switching" to the Clash..either racquet or paint.
Fairly light...I'd say around 10 oz

None of the pros switching cause it released late and players don't want to change their setup. This is what Wilson said in one of the Q&As when a person asked the same question.

I don't think any of the pros will want to switch at this point to a racket that plays much different to what they are used to. Maybe you will see current highschoolers and college kids that are still finetuning their game to pop up on the pro tour in a couple years using the Clash.

feels too light for me. i'm sure you could mod it indefinitely but sometimes i just want something solid out of the gate.

Has anyone tried it?
I hit with the clash tour. The hype is more excellent than the frame ...brilliant marketing from wilson.... a mktg company.
I'm not switchiNg, but it was not terrible. Train in vain.

What's with the Clash hate in this thread?

At least Wilson is trying something new in the direction of more flexible frames. Last I checked there was barely anything on the market for anyone that likes a flexible frame.

Among newly releashed? Prince Textreme 2. Not noodle-like but comfy as hell, I think it really has twaron inside.

Among old ones, the Microgel is always available there. The Prince Phantom also has below 60RA.

Yeah Prince is one of the only companies offering an assortment of flexible frames. The rest of the companies are mostly 65+ stiff frames.

Yes Nicole Gribbs has the endorsement for the Clash Tour racquet. None yet for the Clash regular racquet.
More to follow, i am sure.
Should i stay or should i go?
Well, the endorsement of nic gibz is really all i needed. Hype train not in vain. London calling. Wait... The casbah's locatid in lunden, amirite? Cool cuz I'm finna go rock dat casbah, yo.

and I didn't think I'd live long enough to see a hip hop interpretation of the Clash's career.
Haha, congrats on making it this far, rabbit! Dreams really do come true, on the tw forums.
Hip hop and the Clash. Yeah, the clash borrowed from reggae and also some early hip hop.
i feel public enemy learned a ton from the clash.
Need i remind you of MIA sampling straight to hell?

I know that they haven’t all been at the highest level on the tour but I think Nicole Gibbs has won about 8 or 9 matches in a row with the Clash Tour. She’s hammering people this week at the $125,000 Indian Wells WTA tourney.

If all the pros are so impressed why don't they switch to this frame?

Because it's all marketing.
you believe these reactions are genuine?
I liken it to the first time that I hit with a Pure Drive. It felt great, and seemed to make things easier for me, but I knew in the long run that it wasn't the best racquet for my game (not that I didn't give it a try for a couple years). Or the first time that I hit with poly strings. They were both "new" feelings and they gave me that "whoa" reaction like the pros in the Wilson hype video. The new Clash, or the Clash Tour might not be the racquet for them now, but maybe a thinner beam, smaller head version that gets released further down the road. It might not be the current crop of tour pros that make the switch-because they are all so set in their ways, using painted over versions of 15 year old technology- but maybe we'll see it start pooping up with some regularity in the next few years... I haven't had the chance to hit with one yet (still waiting on my Clash Tour from Wilson), but I have heard a lot of people say it really does have a unique feel and performance. It's too early to say its a game changer, we'll have to wait and see on that, but it's also too soon to call it an over hyped flop as well.

LOL at Dimitrov commenting on it...

He already had 2 of his own Wilson iterations and didn't stick with either! :)

Prince already had frames with low RA numbers.
For some reason with the Clash racquets Wilson have integrated the handles into the frame instead of molding handles on after the frames are “baked,” so anyone buying a Clash better choose the right handle size the first time. Building up the handle should be possible, but shaving the handle down would be basically impossible without ruining part of the structure.

Many of the decendents of the Keubler frames have this. Profile, Hammer, Steam...

I think they marketed it as aire shell and amplifeel 360.

The first time one of my daughters heard Straight to Hell she said "Oh, these guys copied MIA". I miss Joe Strummer.

i have 2 clash tours and i like them very much. i am a realist and know no racket is going to dramatically change a players game but the clash and clash tour are both solid frames. if you're into the 100" 16x19 tweeners like yonex Ezone 100, volkl 8, pure drive or aero pro, the clash and clash tour are excellent alternatives with a much softer feel. It's a quality frame and I don't quite understand all the hate her on TW

I don't think we'll see a lot of pros switch because pros don't switch very often but I expect to see a few pros using the clash and a few juniors. I personally think the regular clash is an excellent racket for a younger junior.

Obviously fedr has switched incognito in order to win 15 of 16 matches. Needul fakes injury and Joe Kovic tanks to avoid the new Clasherer.

#Ain’tNoHype
Yup. Federer's rockin the Paintjob. Rock the Paintjob.
By order of the profits. Burn that pro staff dowwwnn.
ReVenerate the faithful. To that crazy paintjob sound!

Ah, London Calling to the faraway towns.
Wilson's declared, sales no longer down.

a few players (of which I am a part) were able to test some executives last week, we play a lot with prestige IG MP, (62RA), radical XT (60RA-63RA), and our teacher reported us some frames that corresponds to our game (clash, ultra tour and phantom especially), I must admit that the three seems the most flexible clash, but the real racquets oriented competition and allowing my sense to play with much confidence is more phantom 100 pro and the ultra ride that clash.

to wonder if the ultra tower and phantom do not meet our expectations to see a day head out of the frames inferior to 60RA without frills. simple, strong, fine.

it is a real return to the past, with old flexible and solid frames.
