It wasn't just Nadal. Pouille wasn't all that fantastic. He wasn't really serving very well, and I remember thinking if he was playing someone like a Murray or Djokovic, or any good returner in form they'd have eaten him alive. They were both playing fairly well off the ground, but things only got to that stage because their serving/returning was borderline pathetic. It was better than the disaster of a match between Rafa and Fognini from a year ago that people here seemed convinced was one of the matches of the year, but best of the year?
The first two that come to mind for me from the mens tour are Nadal-Delpo at the Olympics, and Delpo-Murray in the Davis Cup. My favourite overall was probably Radwanska and Cibulkova at Wimbledon.
