I don't like the new Biomimetic buttcaps, which are different than the old Dunlop buttcaps, so i decided to install some older caps on my 2 Bio 200s.
- One of the frames had some foam inside the handle, on one side only (see picture). It's the only one of all my 9 Dunlop 200s, from various lines, to have such a thing.
- First question: why would one frame have foam and not the others? Aren't they all produced the same way? Is the manufacturer trying to adjust specs or something by doing that? That seems unlikely since such a small amount of foam can't change weight by much, i assume.
- There is one of my old M-Fils which always had a loose buttcap, even though the staples were all very well secured. I understood why after removing the cap (see pictures):
Broken handle 1
Broken handle 2
- Second question: Is this frame pretty much ruined? Any way to fix this?
