So Karlovic is in the top 100 at the age of 40, who was the last player to equal that feat? Connors?

I was checking the Live Rankings and saw Karlovic at 92nd and the number 40 as his age, I'm not sure but I'm guessing Jimmy Connors was in the top 100 in 1992 or past his 40th birthday, correct me if I'm wrong. He is a daddy long legs with a Tennis racket but he's utilized his height and maximized his ability, age does matter because as you get older it gets harder to maintain a level to compete at a sport professionally, plus dealing with injuries takes it's tolls and miles on the clock. The first time I saw Karlovic was when he beat Lleyton Hewitt in the first round of Wimbledon 2003 but Karlovic has been pro since 2000 but was playing in 1995, he lost to the Haitian Ronald Agenor (he also made the top 100 in his late 30s) in the qualies of Umag 24 years ago. I was told that it's not what you've got it's how you use it, that saying is very apt for Karlovic. His game isn't aesthetically pleasing as say Federer's but he has a thunderous forehand and when he actually hits a backhand it stays hit.

Ken Rosewall come to mine but there had been others too! I talking Open Era Pro tennis. If you look back to 1910-1950s, I sure there will be numerous tennis players that were 40+!
