So, Sinner fans?

Tbf he did get screwed on a horrendous line call. Otoh he did have a massive collapse thereafter and he was already up a break. Sucks that he lost this way, but hopefully this’ll put an end to the “Sinner is better than 2011 Joker and RAFA on clay” claims. Actually think this’ll help in the long run though. He doesn’t want to over play before RG anyway.

You do know he got massively screwed on that second serve going long on BP which would have given him a 5-1 lead, yes?
For months and months we have listened to how great Sinner is. How he will break all the records.
How all other players and especially Rune are so bad and bla bla bla.

I would like to be positive about Sinner but I can't. He has a boring game, a boring personality and his fans are outright toxic.

Sinner definitely tanked the match. He felt so bad for Tsitsipas for being an underachieving Greek philosopher, so he decided to let Tsitsipas win.
Otherwise, if Sinner was even remotely serious, he would have easily double bagelled Tsitsipas on one leg while his other leg would be selling carrots ;)

2011 Djokovic could not even get past the first round in Monte Carlo lol
Sinner at least made it to the semi finals with a tough draw and only lost narrowly because he decided to tank the match.
So yep, 2024 Sinner is still better than 2011 Djokovic.

It depends on which version of Rafa we are talking about. If it's 2023-2024 Rafa, then yes, the current Sinner is much better

Don't even have to look at results to know the outcome with the immediate Sinner denial to rear it's salty head. Obviously lost, though I am curious about the score line because it sounds like TsiTsi had his way with Sinner. If so, it will be a simple one-off loss given Sinners current strength in playing and titles, and being number 2 in the world. Blip...

More interesting, I wanna see Ruud live up to more of my expectations and take MC to start his own belief.

He didn’t even play MC in 2011. Instead he just managed to win Madrid and Rome. What a scrub. The Sinner lost to a guy who’s been in a free fall since the AO last year.

Funny because earlier today you said this:
No way. The answer is Jannik Sinner. He is better than any version of Nadal ever on clay
If you’re gonna troll at least be consistent.

He got screwed.
It happens all the time. The tournament screwed Rune over 3 times.

1. They let him play with very little restitution after two matches in one day
2. They gave him a wrong warning
3. They robbed him of a point in the TB

In some tournaments the umpire's let the crowd boo at some players and not at others.

Let's be fair. Sinner is treated like a princess. Today he felt what it was like to be human.

I'm not nearly as high on Sinner as some. But between getting screwed out of a double-break and then his leg starting to give out down the stretch, it's an acceptable loss.

Even Tsitsipas commented after the match about how he changed up his tactics once he realized Jannik wasn't moving as well at the end.

Sinner has lost 2 of his last 3 masters, and hasn't even met Lord Nadal yet.
Talk about an overrated CHUMP.
Good luck winning that 2nd slam LOSERS, while Lord Nadal wins slam #23 in June and more to come...

I know Rune got screwed, I spoke about it yesterday, even today.

But Sinner really had this match, no way he loses 5-1 up in the third, we know this.

Yeah, we're all in full anticipation of Nadals next apperance withdrawel. That same Nadal who incidently lost his first matches in his last two masters, I mean.

He clearly got injured when just a couple of games from closing it out (had the trainer on twice) but that begs the question about his long term fitness. Am I going to have to be concerned about that the same way I am for Alcaraz?

Sinner: "the cramps were a consequence of what happened (the referee's non-call), it went to the nervous part of my brain"

Still a good run. I don’t think anyone was expecting clay court domination from sinner this year going into clag season. If he didn’t cramp up and have leg issues he’s in the final easy since tstsipas was done and dusted . Doubt he could beat djoker in the final regardless but clay doesn’t suit his game well but he’s still damn good on it. He will work on his fitness. Next year he will be clay ready

I never had him pegged down for an RG title this year anyways. It’s gonna take 1-2 years for him to win an RG title. He can still win a clay masters this year though. Fed basically sucked on clay until he hit 24 too

would have been 4-1 serving

and he did get hurt pretty quickly afterward...not sure if he even could find the finish line then

probably best for everyone he lost...would not have been ready to truly compete tomorrow

Sinner is a great player and has the potential to become the best of the current generation, but please stop already with comparing him to the big three. Until now he doesn't even have as many slams as Alcaraz and I can remember the same overrating BS talk about Raz after his Wimbledon win last year before he was put back down on earth. The big three are GOAT level players who don't come along in each generation.

dking68 is your guy for this

As long as we manage expectations a bit it should be fine. 25-2 is still an incredible start to a season, and we just need to see how things unfold
I found out from personal experience that this person gets deeply offended if you single him out like this.
He likes to dish it out, but hates when he's called out.

Be prepared to offer him an apology for what you said.

It's not a dig at him, he's just the most recognisable spearhead of the Sinnermania on TTW - like Mainad for Murray fans, although there are many of us

I want the guy to do well of course, just being pragmatic

You should see the Italian fans up in arms on social media though... incredibly delusional

Some of the Italian fans are stu**d, I even asked in match thread that why they are celebrating Tsits error? Doesn't even made sense to me, he was loosing at that time

I didn't make a dig at him. I just stated that I was trying to outdo him.
People are allowed to try to outdo other people on this forum, stating their intentions, are they not?

My favourite quote is from someone who said: "Graazie signora arbitro che ci hai negato un altro Masters 1000"

"Thank you female referee for denying us (??) another Masters 1000" lol, then ranting about how the final was a virtual walkover - and this was on a post about Ruud's win

Sinner is my favorite now for RG if djokovic is going to play like this. . Carlos will be rusty and have constant nagging injuries. Sinner just needs to not cramp up is all. Tstsipas wil always be a finals mug. Ruud isn’t that good. Djoker just played that bad today

And of course - people can say what they want, it's an open forum. All fun and games (isn't it? :censored:)

I think heat and slow nature of MC always bothers him, will be better in RG but can't say with 100 percent
