So... Thiem in Nadal’s half?

tbh Diego could still be pretty dangerous

He's playing really well, and beat Rafa in Rome

let's hope Nadal gets through Sinner easily

If there is a God and he is good, Novak will supply bakery products to him in the final.

Diego beat Nadal in Rome. He's the most tiring SF opponent possible. And that's if Nadal gets past Sinner.

Maybe now Djokovic and Federer fans will stop complaining about Thiem’s positioning in the draw.
:-D You start another thread about Thiem on Rafa's side, and it's all the Nadal fans have been squealing about for 10 days. Fed fans never gave a crap or started threads about it because we know Thiem poses no problems for Nadal.

Nadal gets a 5'7 guy in the semis who just played 5:06 hours in a grindfest, so nobody knows why any Rafa fan is complaining right now.

Thiem's reputation will be doomed if he's unable to improve on the 13 sets he's played vs. Nadal at Roland Garros (Nadal has won 12 of those sets).

I guess deep down we all knew only 1 man has a chance against Rafa on Chatrier.

Earths mightiest warrior and heavyweight champion of the world!
Djokovic was only ever good enough to beat 2015 Nadal, and that version of Nadal lost to Murray/Wawrinka in straight sets on clay....
Djokovic-Tsitsipas will be the last thrilling match at Roland Garros.

Djokovic-Tsitsipas will be the last competitive match at Roland Garros.
I agree that Nadal will probably win. Probably 4 sets of that final happens. Novak most likely to take a set and make it competitive at least.

Hang on. It was Djokovic fans doing cartwheels Thiem was in Rafas side. Rafa fans were not that concerned given we knee Thiem would be spent.

It’s a serious possibility that both Sinner and Schwartzmann beat Nadal.

Careful, you're starting to sound like StrongRule here
They have chances to make the match competitive and even snag a set, but it would take an absolutely monstrous, career-defining, brutally supreme performance from either of them to topple Nadal. Coupled with Nadal misfiring. They have the right attitudes, which is a start.

Schwartzman maybe has a shot at a set or two, or even match, if Nadal comes out completely clueless, but Sinner? If this Edmund-face guy defeats Nadal on Chatrier, I know nothing about tennis.

I don’t see either troubling Nadal much. Only Djokovic has a chance now if he makes final. Despite that Rafa still the favourite.

Cripple fight between the VB and DjokeFam whose draw from the other favourite's is easier.

The ridiculously bad state of the tour is of no concern for either, though.

Still better than Bogdanovic and Gravinboginagis. Or whoever Fed played in those weak era slams

I would’ve preferred another Nadal-Thiem final, but only if Thiem was fresh and 100%. Fitness is an issue for him.

It was always going to end that way after stacking two Majors is such a short period of time and after Timmy won his first: just too much exhaustion: I gather the RG organisers figured that would be the case as well , and so scheduled accordingly so that they still get their Nadal-Thiem fix. Too bad (for them) that Diego had other ideas.
