If it popped after that little play it's either a manufacturing defect or maybe a shearing issue occured if you hit the ball near the frame. You're in a small group of people if you hate Tecnifibre strings though. Their quality control is among the highest in the market and they have a great reputation for real nice strings. It shocked me because I didnt hit the knot or anything. I also talked to some of the top guys playing for UT and Tecnifibre sponsors them, and most just paint their strings red because they hate them so much.
