So whats the best synthetic gut.

Hi, Im a stringer int he UK and was wondering what we all think is the best (allround) synthetic gut. not multi, synthetic gut. I currently stock wilson extreme but am considdering getting some psgd or technifibre or head or whatever you guys think is the best, thanks

I recommend Tecnifibre. It's an up and coming name, and you can get a 16 and a 17 reel for less than you can get one reel of PSGD.

Of course the 16 and 17 reels are available on other sites.

Tecni synthetic gut is the WORST string I have ever used. I don't recommend it at all. Their other strings are very good and I got no beef with tecnifibre one bit, but their synth is just not good. I have used Wilson, Prince, Gosen....all of them are better.

The Tecnifibre synthetic gut is different isn't it?
I thought i heard that it doesn't have an extra coating on it, like Duraflex, which would mean it's softer, and won't last as long...

Not the best.....

I am not sure which string to consider the best, but I would definately say the most over rated and most over used string is Prince Synthetic Gut w/Duraflex. It has no touch and feels terrible. I wouldn't recommend it.

in my opinion, dunlop tour performance is one of if not the best syn gut out there.
