So what's up with the new Babolat Pure Aero VS

First off. Strange name.
But I think this stick will appeal to a wide variety of players
What do guys think of this new offering. ??
 
Not appealing pj. I love the regular PA pj, and respectfully disagree with all the PA pj haters, but I think it's the best pj of the aero line. The racket itself has some interesting specs, never hit with an aero storm... One to demo at least to try out! What is the difference between the pure storm and aero storm? Idk about it

The Aero Storm line is an Aero version of the Pure Storm (Aero throat beam). It came out in 2008 (or 2007?), got a GT version in 2010, then discontinued a few years after that due to lack of huge interest. It is now getting interest because the new players have grown up with it and brought it on to the tour. Jack Sock, Dustin Brown, Jerzy Janowicz to name a few.

tbh, i would love this pj on a classic frame like the prestige 600 or the RF 97 or even the duel g 97 330.

It's not mine, I just stole the pics from a for sale ad (it's gone already!!) but some lucky person is walking around with these Prostock Aerostorms with a Pure Aero pj. I just think the paintjob looked cool. I would guess they were a little more $$$ than a retail Pure Aero though :)

I think Babolat Official posted the unstrung specs in one of the other threads. I think he said the unstrung Tour version came in at 310 grams unstrung, 72 stiffness, and I can't remember the balance.

Anyways, I'm wondering what VS stands for lol (Very Stiff, lol?). Anyone know?
 
vs will be the name of the control line within the pure strike line. so the pure controls become the pure strike vs and the pure strike vs tour

Where'd you hear that? It's been said that the Controls would be the Pure Strike CTRL for a while now...
 
The pure strike ctrl name is simply a place holder name on the frames of current pros just like jack socks pj said pure areo storm when the frame is actually called the pure aero vs and will be branded as such. I got this information directly from babolat
 
Do you guys believe Aero storm (PA VS) plays awful with its static weight?

I acknowledged that around 10.7 oz (around 300g ~ 310g) fits right to me during the tournament.

my trusty Yonex 95D tuckered me out in long-lasting matches last time.. :(
 
Just got my new sticks in absolutely love the paint job.

Going to string it up today with Alu power. Was just curious for those who have the sticks if they added weight where exactly did you put the weight on the frame and if you can put any under the grommet. Thanks
 


anyone who knows me knew i was getting at least 1 of these to demo on cosmetics alone
i REALLY like the way this frame plays

been using the FST burn 95, but this frame performs better in all areas in my opinion
very plus feeling - prob because no cortex (never been a fan)
good weight to it, and drives through the ball effortlessly
control is amazing. maybe a bit less powerful than the burn, but the added control is nice
16x20 string pattern is great
