So YouTube TV just yanked Tennis Channel...

I got this in the last hour:

We’re writing to let you know that our agreement with the Tennis Channel has expired. Starting November 30, 2020, at 11 pm ET, the Tennis Channel will no longer be made available for distribution on YouTube TV. This means that you will no longer be able to watch that channel live or access any content that you have recorded from the Tennis Channel.
We regret the inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your membership.
Sincerely,
The YouTube TV team

At least there isn't anything live for a while. Maybe they'll bring it back, or I'll have to think about buying TC Plus.

Yeah, it’s a bummer. I just got the email as well. Can you watch the same matches on TC Plus as the regular tennis channel? For example, if tennis channel is airing live the final of a masters tournament will that same match be airing live on TC Plus?

I'd like to know that as well.

It was actually quite interesting, because the ones I've heard from history were commentated at an excited and frenetic pace with the crowd noise coming in strong.

Now they let the images speak and the overall presentation is quite clinical.

Tennis on the radio? Seriously? What’s that like?

It's a change for sure, it's actually quite good as an alternative.
Sometimes I'll put the match on the tv and mute it cause the radio commentary is usually better than the tv's.
Syncing them up can be a little tricky.

What streaming options are left other than cable?
@am1899 I have two homes (in California and Nevada, USA) and both still carry the Tennis Channel on Youtube TV. Where are you located?

Here's a screen grab I'm getting on Youtube TV right now:

The only cable option I have here is Spectrum...whom I left for YTTV - after years of ballooning subscription rates, lousy customer service, etc. The thought of going back to Spectrum to get Tennis channel back has crossed my mind...but it makes me sick.

TennisTV has only ATP events (no WTA and no slams). Commentators are generally not very good, but they do have a lot of high quality classic matches, many of which have no commentary (which is a bonus).

The commentators are (mostly) terrible on TC too, so that’s not a huge problem for me.

Appreciate the feedback though. The classic matches would def be cool.

For what I been told, content on TC is not shown on TC+ and visas versus. TC does show snips of TC+ matches as come on to viewers to try to get them to subscribe.

Where can one watch full matches for the Challenger tour matches that are edited/clipped into highlights and posted by the Youtube channel "Tennis Challenge?" Thanks in advance.

No worries at all.

In Australia, I basically end up subscribing to three different streaming services to cover off on tennis.

- TennisTV, which only does ATP, but does it amazingly well

- WTA.tv - very good, but really lacking in any kind of substantial library, and only a limited chance to catch up on matches once they finish

- Kayo - a general sport streaming service that I use for the majors

I'm really suprised that the Tennis Channel streaming service doesn't have one package that with everything. I've been waiting for TC to become available here, but I'm not as keen now that you've explained its limitations.

What does this mean ? Was the 'Tennis Channel' Channel on YouTube live streaming matches all this time for free ? I didn't know that...

Yes. I had it for years. You could also watch live matches without commentary, which was great.
