Socks with Cushioned Heel?

Here's a crazy question...are there any socks that provide some extra cushioning in the heel?

I've been wearing Adidas Men's Cushion Quarter socks (black) for what seems like at least a dozen years. The last time I ordered them it seemed like the cushioning on the bottom had gotten thinner....and now I have a right heel problem.

Definitely not saying the two are related but it did get me wondering if there are any socks (currently available at TW) that offer a little extra cushioning in the heel.

I've got a wider forefoot and a thinner heel, so for shoes that have a tighter toebox (like the NB 996v3), I'll take a pair of socks and cut the toe part off, then wear another full pair of socks over those. Therefore, I get extra heel thickness/cushioning, without cramping the toebox. Works wonders! I use the under armor charged cotton socks
