Soft Overgrips?

Fishbulb

Rookie
I tend to get blisters when i play in summer. I think its because i sweat and the supergrap gets even more tacky and causes blisters.

I've tried Tournagrip - didnt like it very much, couldnt feel the bevels on my grip. Also not very durable.

Yonex Supergrap and Wilson Pro Overgrip.

I also have a Wilson leather grip on my tour 90. Is that a good grip to play with?

What are some soft and comfortable overgrips?

ok mate tourna didnt work for you. try the klip ones? or umm the babolat vs original. I dont think their durable. Actually the lower end babolat ones and the black wilson(all purpose black on you cna buy from Rebel) are soft and durable. Try them all

If you don't want blisters, don't play with a leather. A lot of complaints (I'm not one). Hmm...so you've tried Wilson and Supergrap?

Fishbulb, Do you know any cheap places in Sydney to buy Wilson pro overgrip or Yonex supergrap?

For me, playing with any leather grip is an occupational health and safety hazard. The profuse sweating from my hands could turn my racket into Oddjob's Blade-rimmed hat.

Wilson Pro - I order off www.tenniswarhouse.com.au or www.tennismart.com.au. Rebel Sport in Parramatta has some as well, its not incredibly cheap but its alright.

Supergrap - Kmart Castle Hill has it for $11 a pack. (AUD)

i'm sorry it didn't oblige with what you believe in almighty god.

No, its just that you can't read. I clearly said that i've tried supergrap and that its giving me blisters in the summer. Your opinion didn't do sh*i*.

you cant buy the kilp or babolat vs oringinal(maybe you can-not sure) from rebel sports though.
the black wilson one you can buy from k-mart I think

Fishbulb I live in Beverly Hills which is around Kingsgrove. I think I live in the southern suburbs. To be exact I live in the SSW suburbs.
If you dont know where that is just think of it around hurstville

I will try your suggestions after my match on Saturday. At my club they have Babolat vs grip and ill probably buy some of the Wilson Comfi Overgrips nextime i got to kmart.

Thanks

When you sweat, your grip may begin to slip. It is this constant rubbing that causes the blister. I think what you want to do is to keep the racket handle from twisting in your hand.

Wear one of those oversized sweatbands, change it often. Use a very absorbant overgrip. If you have more than one racket, switch them when they begin to slip and let the other one dry.

If you use lots of spin, especially topspin, this could add to the blister situation. You may want to wrap your fingers with tape where they blister.

Make sure your grip is firm/solid and you are hitting the ball solidly in the center of your strings.

You might also try a soft grip doubled over with an absorbant one (if this does not make it too thick for you).

Good luck,

B

I've had great luck with Prince Durazorb overgrips and I've gotten really positive feedback from the pals I've shared mine with with. Less tacky than their Duratac, but too grippy doesn't work for me. Tournagrip isn't bad in summer, but gets a little slippery for me when it's colder and drier. Durazorb is great for me all year and actually turns more velvet-like as it wears in.

I tried the Head Xtreme soft overgrip. It's actually pretty good, its just the right amount of tackiness and comfort, it was pretty impressive. I didnt even get any blisters with it at all.

Does anyone know any other overgrip which is similar to the Head?
