Soft Poly With More Pop For Speed Pro 360.

Hello.

I am using Dunlop Black Widow 18 on Head Speed Pro 360 at 55 lbs right now. I notice the lack of pop. So i am considering to change string.
I am looking for soft poly that play kinda similar with Black Window but with more pop.

So far, i only considering Head Hawk and Head Lynx.

Any other suggestion ?

Thanks.

I tried Head Lynx 17 at 49lbs and had no problem generating pace and depth. It's a nice, comfortable setup.

Maybe consider sampling a softer main - multi or syn. gut - with a smooth poly cross. The specific string options are up to you.

A couple of the guys I work with in the summer are pretty big on Luxilon Element. They claim that this string is substantially more lively than a lot of other polys/co-polys out there. I'm not a poly player myself, so I can't make any of my own observations on it.

You might also get some better zip from a hybrid instead of a full bed of poly. The most popular hybrid I install for the locals I string for includes Isospeed Baseline 1.20mm mains combined with a 16 ga. syn. gut cross. I have sampled this layout and while many other poly experiments were too harsh and dead for me, this hybrid seemed perhaps only slightly more firm than a firm bed of 16 ga. syn. gut.

Head sonic pro was heads more powerful poly, until lynx showed up
it is still a very good poly, comfort, price, spin..
I think lynx is a little better in tension maintenance, between the 2..
head hawk is a bit more crisp then the other 2, more control,,

Do you find the BW didn't have enough pop because the spin would make it land short? If so, varying tensions or a higher follow through could help. Otherwise, I've tried Lynx 17 a couple of times. I was very happy with it @50 in my Biomimetic racquet in my signature. It's comfortable and seems to have very good bite and accuracy. But if you string it higher than 52 lbs in your racquet, you might find it too solid for flat shots.

IsoSpeed Cream 1.23m was super soft and to me was more lively than other polys. Check out the TW reviews on it.

Have you tried dropping the tension of your Black Widow 5 lbs? I'm liking poly in the 40s these days.

Yeah. I should try this on my next stringing session.

Well, i kinda have flat groundstroke.

What Biomimetic version you tried on ?

I tried Lynx 17 yellow both times in my Biomimetic 200. The first time was very nice and comfortable @50. The second time I tried 52/51 and didn't like it as much. My strokes are also mostly flat. The feel of the Speed Pro is supposed to be similar to that of the Biomimetic 200. But your head size is 5 sq" larger, so 52 lbs. might work well for you.
