OK.......Here's my contribution.
I know absolutely nothing about building an excel spreadsheet. This is what I've been using since I started charging for my services, about 20+ years ago. This is stupid simple and works really well.
This sheet is called "AAA_Racquet Customer Master" so it's on top when you open the folder.
What I do is:
-With a new customer I open the folder, double click (DC) AAA_Racquet Customer Master fill in the name & phone #. You need to double click (dc) next to the word "Name" and fill in the customer's name, same w/phone # & email
addy. (DC cuz IDK any other way) Notice in the upper left corner there's an Auto Save toggle which is default set to OFF. Once you put your customers name in the appropriate cell, copy the name.
-After you copy it, go through the steps to save it. Once you paste the customer's name as the file name and hit Save that Auto Save toggle automatically turns ON, so any data you enter in this file going forward will auto save. The
key for me is; I save that file in OneDrive. On every device I own, including my cell, I add a shortcut of that file from
OneDrive. I can access that data on any device with internet access. Forward it if a customer is wondering what you
did, and when. These rows and columns can go on forever. Enter as much info as you want. With the Auto Save
toggle automatically enabled, it damn near makes it idiot proof, but I've managed to screw it up a couple times. It's
simple to retrieve if you catch it right away.
I didn't program anything here. I don't know how too. Way back when, I opened excel, started making rows and columns and saved it and started a folder.........the rest is history.
I log every single frame I string, even if the customer name/file name is: JP's friend. I always have a record, even if I don't have the name of the player.
I have over 700 names/files in my "Racquet Costumers" folder. Some I've only strung once, but most are repeat customers.
Ask any question you might have. IDK if the copy n paste function would work here, but anyone, please feel free to use this if you think it'll work for you. Its been flawless for me for years.
(hopefully this pic loads)
