Their strings are made in Taiwan.

I think once someone sees “made in China” they immediately think poor QC.
It’s more on the lines of the company monitoring MFG process to ensure specs are met and choice of factory.
TF QC is pretty great. But they have their blunders time to time like many companies.
Head, babolat, and Wilson have declined. Especially head. I had a babolat pure strike that weighed 10 grams heavier than the 305 listed.

From my experience, the QC for Head and TF has improved.
Older, especially made in austria, racquets had horrible quality control. Same with the older TF racquets I have, specs are all over the place.
With the models of the last few years I didn't notice that much of a difference.
Granted the small number of racquets I owned doesn't say that much.

If I can recall... I "think" they are @ YMA... same factory as a lot of Dunlop sticks too. Really good quality factory - yet with any China frame factory, you get want you pay for... if you want 'tight' Spec's, its more then having a wider range of error to design Spec.
Truth is it's close to impossible to get tennis rackets made anywhere else now. The Chinese factories have it all worked out and most brands (obviously yonex have their factory) send their designs to established factories to be made there. As has already been stated they also usually make great frames with quality no worse than anywhere else would do (unless you buy cheap of course!). Think the companies still worry about the 'made in china' being a knock off standard so don't like to publicise it much, but it's simply a necessity now.
