Solinco Tour Bite Hybrid and Gauge Questions

So I have been trying out the Solinco tour bites for a few months. So far ive tried the 18 and 17 gauge soft and regular tour bites. I prefer the soft a lot better because of better spin. I am looking to hit more spin and control, and I think I could generate enough power to plow through the ball. I also string my racket at 60lbs for less power. I also hit a full fast stroke.

So is there a huge difference between the tour bite soft 17g vs 16g vs 16L? I break the tour bites in 2-3 weeks, and I know a larger string would increase the longetivity of the string, but i dont want to affect the feel and spin of the string too much.

Also, would using the tour bite soft as a hybrid with another string increase the spin and control of my strokes? if so, what string would pair well with the tour bite? how about the pre packaged vanquish or the solinco revolution with the tour bite soft? if there are any other hybrids (any other brand) that pairs well with the solinco that increase the spin and control, i'd love to hear it.

Thanks!

I've hydrided both TBS 17 (crosses) with VS Touch 16 (mains), and TB 18 with VS Touch 16. I did not see any difference between TBS17 and TB18 when comparing durability. I hit with plenty of spin, although not heavy heavy spin, and get at least 20 hours out of the TBS and TB before the crosses break, then I just restring the crosses about 3lbs tighter for the same feel and get another 15-20 hours use before the VS Touch 16 breaks.

I find regular 16 at LOWER tensions the best of all worlds.
Lower tension (47 now, next string job 42) gives lots of spin.
Regular 16 gives tension maintainance, solid feel, and duribility.
Low tension is easy on the arm, increases sweetspot sized, and barely affects top end serves and control, once you get used to hitting through the ball with spin.

I saw that the pro windsurfing site only has you at 5 7'. Can you generate adequate serve power with TB at the height?

Easy.
I"m taller than President, who's around 5'10" ....:)
I"m a bit taller than Shroud.
RobFL is maybe an inch taller than me, but he's 1/4" shy of 6'.
Then again, I cheat. I wear arch support insoles, which raise me another 1/4", and often, I wear tennis shoes, which adds another inch.
Back in the late '80's, and I was full grown then, I sailed in the US SpeedTrials Circuit, at least 10 events. There, big guys predominate, because big heavy guys can hold more sail and blow thru the chop without getting out of control. My buds included DaveLeurhs, (6'4" and 245 lbs.), FerrisHamilton (6'3" and 238 lbs), Fat DaveGould (5'11" 275 lbs.) and me, a veritable giant at 5'10" and 175 lbs. While I didn't qualify for overall standings because you needed to compete in at least 6 events a year, I always came in top third, even at my size. The only guy who consistently beat me around my size was GlenMcKinley, USA's fastest windsurfer under 175 lbs.
My g/f is 5'6", and the top of her head is around my nostrils.

Oh, forgot to add.
I bought Asic'sGelSolutionSpeeds from TW here a month ago. Size 10.5.
My K-SwissBigShot11's are also 10.5's.
