Solution Speed FF - anyone have this problem?

Received my Asics Solution Speed FF, size 12.0 Blue/Red, shoes today, and tried them on. Absolutely love the fit and feel of these shoes...remind me a great deal of the Asics Speed 2 shoes that I loved. The shoe strings could be a little thicker and could stand to be about 5 inches longer to better accommodate my runner's loop using the back eyelet, but other than that I didn't find any problems with the fit.

I started walking around the house and kept noticing a popping noise coming from the inside of both shoes. I thought it would go away as I broke the shoes in but so far it hasn't. It's almost as if the Asics emblem ( 3rd picture from left here ) on the inside of each shoe is too stiff for how flexible the shoes are. As I walk it feels like the flex of the shoes is awesome but that large blue plastic Asics emblem won't flex with the shoe and therefore makes a 'popping'...think popping three or four bubble wrap bubbles every time I take a step.

Luckily I also ordered a black/silver pair of the Solution Speed FF at the same time so after the blue/red ones wore out I could switch to a different color. So I tried them on thinking there might just be something wrong with the blue/red and they do the exact same thing!

Just wondering if anyone has had this problem or noticed this problem with the Solution Speed FF?

Thinking of trying the Gel Court FF since it doesn't have the Asics emblem plastic on the inside of the shoe. Also considering the adidas adizero Ubersonic 3, as some have said they fit like the Gel Speed 2 shoes, or the K Swiss Ultrashot.

Thanks.

I have been playing the black silver for two months. I don’t remember it making any popping sound when i first got it and its not doing it now. Super comfy and seems to have helped me with a little heel pain i felt. I agree the laces could be longer for the back eyelet though and a runners loop

I'm not sure what's going on with both of my pair then. Maybe I overpronate too much or something since the 'popping' seems to be coming from the inside of the shoe. I don't know, I'm at a loss to explain it.

On both pair the right shoe 'pops' more with every step than the left shoe and the blue/red pair 'pop' more than the black/silver pair, but I've worn them around the house as much as possible over the past two days and it doesn't seem to be getting any better.

Going to wear the black/silver pair (because they currently 'pop' less) around the house a couple more days to see if it goes away.

If not I guess I'll try the Gel Court FF, the Ubersonic 3, or the Ultrashots.

Thanks for the response!

Maybe I’m not remembering and perhaps didn’t bother me since I only wear them on the court. Pretty sure it will go away but I remember the toe box was a bit tight compared to mid foot but its opened up now.
