So, I was looking through some of the other threads on tennis tips and instructions now and...

Couldn't believe that no one was addressing the most important practice tip of all.

Which is getting in the daily reps and getting them in, in the right way.

Here are 3 practice tips on using the reps in your lessons or in your workouts.

After you implement them.

You will start to see better results in weeks.

1) Do the shadow swings 3 times a day for 5 to 10 minutes.

In the morning, before practice and also right before you go to sleep.

This is the most important one of all too, because when you do this before going to bed, your subconscious mind will be working on the stroke as you sleep.

And if you wake up and do them again, you can actually develop any stroke in 1 week or less!!!)

Don't believe me?

Try it from today...

2) Mental picturing while you are actually doing the reps.

Through my 29 years of coaching research, I have found that.

When a player is doing shadow swings and picturing themselves hitting the perfect shot on each rep.

It actually speeds up the learning/developing process faster for them!!

I have seen students and players use this in practice to leapfrog the whole learning curve all altogether.

Why?

Because with this creative tennis training method.

You are imprinting the stroke on your subconscious mind and then you are allowing it to do all the work for and through you.

In other words.

This is where the REAL magic is taking place for you. (It's learning tennis faster)

By the way.

Always ask yourself.

Is there a faster way to learn this game?

Okay, the last thing that you have to do, that most students and players don't is...

3) Keep making the needed adjustments.

Keep adjusting after every rep.

And listen.

You should never miss 3 reps in a row if you are working them the right way.

Let me explain this in more detail.

Imagine if...

I toss a ball to your forehand and you miss the first rep.

You breathe that one away and make an adjustment.

Then I toss another ball to you and you miss that one too.

No problem.

You just breathe it away again/repeat the process and make the last needed adjustment and you execute the rep.

This is how you should be using the reps to help you discover the stroke that you are working on.

I call this Mushin Tennis Training.

To be honest with you guys.

You don't even need a damn coach!!

Because most of them can't coach anyway.

Look.

Just follow these 3 tips and leverage the reps in practice and use videos on YouTube and teach yourself the game of tennis.

This will save you tons of money too!!

I like to tell students all the time.

YouTube can make any tennis student look like a GREAT tennis coach, while they are teaching themselves.

I disagree with this one, except #3.

Shadow swing and imagine all your want, its not going to help you on the court. Will help vs a ball machine, but not the randomness tennis entails
