Something in Kyrgios that you can't dislike him totally

I don't what.
He's bump. He's rude. He's arrogant. He's mean. He's cocky.

But,I can't hate him 100%. He posses some crazy aura,charisma,talent.. whatever.
Maybe because his fearless style of playing. Because of how he looks or he just seem like general badass.

Many 'bad boys' before him were quite unlikable guys with evidently inferior complex(Connors,McEnroe,Agassi,Roddick,Nastatse, even Djokovic sometimes).

Perhaps.
But I'm fan of Kyrgios from his very beginning. There's plenty of reasons for that. But I'm also honest when talking about him in bad lights. He deserved all hate he got.
agree...

i like NK and i'm not going to let Nadal haters to make me dislike him.

I'm also not sure he deserved all the hate from the Acapulco crowd that he got. i'm still trying to figure out all the reasons they've been so negative towards NK. I mean, i realize he acts like a d1ck pretty often, but i thought the crowd went overboard.

Lol. Not everyone is a bandwagoner on whoever beats your hated player, like you're with people who defeats fed, mate.
please.

i've always liked Tpas, if thats who you're referring to, i also continue to like NK regardless of his antics or beating Nadal.

so...

He def. didn't. But,he did deserve all hate for his behavior in general.

I watch him play - and there is some breathtaking tennis - but, mostly, I think "straighten up". He looks hunched.
he does have terrible posture.

but i think it might actually benefit him on his serve to have such 'flex' in his stance, but it hurts him otherwise regarding fitness.

He's not any of those things. I've talked to him several times at IW, once for several minutes. He's the antithesis of arrogant or cocky.
Off court - yes.
On court - he is all of these.

Many players are 180° difference off/on court.

Nick has this amusing eccentricity which makes him interesting. He does unpredictable things, hits uncommon shots, weird dances, and other things like pretending to sleep during changeovers or eating food of random people in the crowd. It is amusing.

Also a factor in why he's not disliked much more despite his antagonizing attitude and awful behavior is that he clearly has a kind, genuine side to him. When he gushes about his idols, advises opponents to challenge wrong calls, writes a heartfelt letter to a retiring player, or cries when he feels like he let his team down. At the core, he just doesn't seem like a bad person but someone who acts this way to cover up insecurity, which induces compassion in a lot of people rather than contempt and 'total' dislike.

Likely for the reasons mentioned I don't dislike him either but objectively Kyrgios is a jerk, and what Nadal recently said applies to him too often unfortunately.

Difference is .....them bad-ass dudes above won slams and were ranked No. 1. This guy is far from performing at their peaks. Leave Nick out of sentences with their names.

I figured that one out decades ago.

You claimed Nick is arrogant and cocky and he is not. He's not that way on court either. Zverev has been known to be obscenely arrogant and cocky on and off court. Nick? No chance.

Whist I am frequently exasperated by him I can't ever say that I dislike him. He sounds like a really good guy a lot of the time, especially when not actually playing. He just doesn't enjoy playing much and it brings out the worst in him. Otherwise he can be amazingly cool!

I haven't seen anything bad from him in quite a while. Haven't watched him much either though. Didn't like him at first because I thought he was a poser with a chip on his shoulder.

I'm glad that finally someone had the guts to underhand serve Nadal.
It was so horrible to always see him standing at the bench while facing big servers

I just think he's a total d1ck and is probably the only male player I truly can't stand. Mind you he did once wear a t-shirt in support of LGBT rights so I guess even he has one redeeming feature.

Sorry, but NK just annoys the hell out of me. Have got plenty of other entertaining tennis that I can watch w/o subjecting myself to obnoxious Nick. If I want annoying, I'll watch Honey BooBoo or JarJar Binks on Star Wars II. Or even Barney, the purple dinosaur. Enjoy watching WTA as well as ATP. So there's plenty of tennis out there for my entertainment.

I get the feeling that he's an ok guy behind all the shenanigans. He keeps people talking and that is good for the sport.

He doesn't bend over and take it like 99% of the other personality bereft stiffs on the tour. That's reason enough to like him.

If you want a bad boy to admire, Safin is your man. Didn't give a f--k, always cracked some irreverently funny lines, but he did it in a civilized way. Of course more conservative fans (myself) were a little uncomfortable about him, but he never did anything downright disgraceful.
Even Mac and Connors in the 80's would cringe at Nick Kyrgios sometimes.

That said, he's doing everything right in Acapulco. Playing inspired tennis, showing off his exceptional talent, and above all, being respectful. This is how he redeems his image.

I hate the senseless overhype around his non-existing " super talent". But it has nothing to do with his personality. I basically like this "bad boy" charisma to a certain extent, and that he is brave enough to stand his ground like he did a few days ago.

But on the other hand, he sometimes goes too far and gets too disgusting. I mean, the "kokkinakis banged your girlfriend" stuff is just too much. Not to mention that he sometimes gives up matches when he is losing and whines like a bit.h. These are just too much for me to like him.

He will always be to me a welcome change from public relations/sponsorship-neutered athletes who use many words to say absolutely nothing.

Plus, he makes a great villain and this is entertainment after all.

Not sure I'd feel that way if I'd paid to see him play and he tanked however.

He's the motherfker who insulted Wawrink, Vekic, his parents, the sport and all its fans... for nothing at all. He should never be forgiven.
