Songs to Listen To

Hey guys,

I have those really small iPod shuffles that can clip on to you with only one ear hole ear-piece thing.

I generally listen to music on it during a match, and I usually listen to classical music.

However, I've recently gotten into techno music (no, I don't do drugs) but I'm looking for music, in general.

The reason I like techno and classical is because it doesn't have words (usually) and most of today's songs with words just don't make any sense with those words. :/

Help me find songs without words that are still good to listen to.

Couple of good techno albums: The Future Sound of London's Lifeforms, The Orb's The Orb's Adventures in the Ultraworld, and Orbital's Orbital 2.

What kind of classical music do you like? Symphonies? Chamber music? Solo instrumental?

Darude sandstorm comes to mind. There are a few with words you should check out like basshunter(artist whose lyrics make sense, listen to dota and all I ever wanted) daft punk have good ones with and without words, and deadmau5 is popular, but I don't like it too much

Any others? I've listened to all of the ones mentioned above and I've picked out a few from the album you gave Reality, I know about Darude's Sandstorm song along with DJ Mangoo, DJ Splash as well as others.

Basshunter is alright, his songs are kind of random though.

Another thing I want to mention is, the reason I don't like modern day songs is because as previously stated they don't make sense, or if they do make sense it's just sad emo crap and I'd prefer any songs from the olden days back when good songs were being made.

can I suggest finetune.com.

It is a great site. You used to be able to create a playlist there but due to copyright issues people can't create playlist anymore.
But I love the site because say you look for a soundgarden song, after it's played the soundgarden song it plays a list of song from similar artists for you. There's an app to download finetune to your phone too.

It doesn't have to be both. It's more of a "or" thing between the two.

Allman Brothers Band -High Falls (From 'Win, Lose or Draw' best Southern rock I've ever heard!)

Couldn't find this on YouTube. :(

Dennis Coffey -Scorpio

Didn't really like this one. It's not really my style. ^^

Chuck Mangione 1980 Summer Olympics Theme -Give It All You Got

This had a very nice beat to it. :)

The others I have yet to see.

I'm loving Beirut right now.

I liked that one, I'm adding it and I'll just ignore the title. ^^

I liked that one better. ^^

dParis, I really liked the Pelican songs, they've been added. I kept going "words are going to come...now, nope...now" over and over again lol.

The video for Dead Between the Walls plays with that feeling somewhat. By the time the "lead singer" finds the rest of the band and plugs in his mic, the song is over.

Electron - Federico Franchi
Rise Up - Yves Larock
New New New (Avicii Remix) - Bob Sinclar
My Feelings for You (Original Mix) - Avicii & Sebastien Drums
Cream - Federico Franchi
Helter Skelter - The Shapeshifters
Midnight Madness - The Chemical Brothers
One - Swedish House Mafia
In The Air (Axwell Remix) - Tv Rock Feat. Rudy
I Wanna Freak You - Eddie Thoneick
In My Head - Eddie Thoneick Feat Shermanology

OP, by "techno" do you mean the actual genre techno (a division of electronica), or just what most people call techno, which is just pop music with an electronic sound?

If you mean the former, check out Carl Cox or Ritchie Hawtin. Hawtin, in particular, is the only modern day musician who still plays actual 80's esq Detroit techno - the original stuff from the birthplace of techno. It's brilliant.

You know, I'm not entirely sure. Probably both. I have heard songs like ATC - All Around the World and that's the pop song with techno music in it, whereas I have listened to songs like Darude - Sandstorm along with DJ Splash, DJ Mangoo etc. which is just techno in general.

It needs to either have a good beat without emo sad crap words, or be no words at all. My mother's a giant romantic/classical person (she has a Ph.D in music composition) so I've heard like all the classical and romantical music out there.
