Remember the Sony sensor? Nice, but fragile device.
Many of them ended their lives with cracked cases.
I spent some time to design a cad model of the bottom part of the sensor housing, one which cracks, for 3d printing.
So far I was able to repair two sensors. I ordered printing of this part from one of the manufacturing-on-demand services using SLS technology -- which gives really good mechanical strength of the printed parts, and also replaced dead batteries. Both sensors work really good now!

I can readily answer questions regarding repair of the sensor if someone is interested.
Also, if somebody happen to have the broken sensor but does not want to bother with repairing it -- I can buy it for repair.
