Thanks Kostas and tennis tom, I'll think before I write next time
No need to do that PinkTN, if everyone did that, there would be no internet, and productivity would go up and we would have to pay more taxes.
Hence my comment on the "I"s. The first post (and some after) were just awkward to read, because even if they weren't meant to sound self-centred, they certainly read that way.
Good luck to the OP in future play. "Playing up" is always the best way to move forwards, within reason.
It's a free forum, so you can vent if you like. Some posters really like to rip into people though
You are such a wonderful Tennis Ninja, complete with skills as well as sportsmanship!
All of the local teams must be fighting over you!
Your mother and father have taught you well. You have honored them.
I was smiling as I typed that (not a fake smile).
On behalf of those of us who have been playing competitive tennis for a long time: we wish you the best in your tennis! Keep improving your game and your attitude. Keep perspective. Vent when you need to - we're here for you.
i wish i could play dubs with my dad.
if this is the first time you guys lost then i say your doing pretty good.
No one wins 100%, even if you're #1 in the world.
All winning streaks will end eventually. Sometimes sooner rather than later.
Learn from your losses and what your mistakes were.
PTN, if you continue to play the way you say that you're playing, you're going to get bumped up soon anyway. And your dad will remain a 3.0, so you're going to have to find a new partner next year to play 7.0 mixed. I would just suck it up and play the rest of the season with him, and then next year find a new partner when you get bumped.
what a great story!
