Special Vapors for the WTF

Looks like we have something new and (probably) limited on its way (see Nike Tennis Twitter):

Please tell me that TW are getting these!

Looks like it's probably another Zoom Vapor AJ3, but in the Black/Varsity Red – Cement Grey colour way.

Like these Air jordan 3 retros...

Saw a picture of some Black AJ3 Vapors about a month ago, this looks exactly like them. Just like the Rhino picture in low cut with the RF logo.

pics were floating around but most were done up by customizers. essentially, painting over the white versions!

I hope Nike can save us the unnecessary stress and let TW stock these. Otherwise its just more free money for resellers.

When do you all think these will drop?

I got my order last year on the Savile Rows on the 9th of November, but they were available since the 4th of November, 2013 which happened to be the date WTF started last year.

So, this year - the 9th of November? Seems a bit unusual for Nike to drop something on Sunday, isn't it?

Unfortunately, staff already said they won't be carrying them. Sad that Nike feels the need to dis the tennis and Fed fans in favor of the shoe collectors. Because that's who's going to snatch them up.

These vs Savile Rows?? I was quite disappointed to miss out on the SRs but I don't think I'll be too upset about missing out on these:|

Pre-order pairs are already on E Bay for extortionate prices! Funny if they end up being available everywhere.

Wait WHAT? Nothing for europeans again? I'd swear right now, if I would know it's allowed here. Unbelievable.

Does Nike really make more money doing this (making it a limited release), instead of just making a ton of these shoes like the other colorways?

Seems like the true folks that profit are the auctioneers and "collectors" that re-sell them at ridiculous prices when it's a limited release, whereas Nike could sell a TON of these at normal prices and just make them available to everyone.

I just don't understand the hype

So you think Zoom Vapor RF 287 shouldn't have been a limited shoe too?

I honestly don't have an opinion either way. If it works for the fans and for Nike, then cool beans. I just see all these e-resellers charging stupid amounts for Nikes and wonder who is actually paying that for some shoes that will sit in a box forever. yes, I understand collectibles and all that, but the hype just seems over the top, to me. I would think Nike would make more money if they didn't make limited runs of these "unique" colorways, but I guess that's what makes it unique. Just a shame that it causes the e-sellers to hoard them up and get all the profit

They don't look great, but the fact that they're a Jordan/RF crossover shoe makes me want them so freaking bad. These are my top 2 sports!!

I'm throwing this out there to see what you guys know. I see some of these people on fleabay saying they are guaranteed pairs of these. Somewhat related to this, earlier this year I was on vacation in Las Vegas and cruised around the shops at Caesars Palace. I saw a line for Niketown before it opened. When I went in, one set of people continued to some back area. I asked a cashier about it and he said these people had first shot at some shoes being released that day. Is there some special Nike VIP thing?

So Nike got a web page for it already with a timer on it.

Anyone have any experience on buying stuff from Nike from the online store via their (i)Phones?

Also, anyone know the size run of them?

Does it give the time that the shoe is available on line? Is it possible to post the site?

Going to buy them for the sake of keeping them and selling them in 10 years time. Got tickets to the SF, even sweeter if he can sign them.

@SDN : I guess he will wear the Shanghai/basel/Bercy red polo and grey short
It will fit perfectly with these shoes, no need for another polo.
(and anyway, if there were another polo, I guess it would be released by Nike already)

saw Fed playing yesterday on TV. at one point, they had a close up on these Black Cement shoes.

His shoes used a smooth black vinyl, rather than the retail which uses a heavily textured leather(or faux). The ones Fed was wearing look better than the retail version. also, on Fed's shoes, the toe area was already heavily worn out. The pattern on the grey toe area was already gone from toe dragging.

Clicked on them the second they were ready on Nike lab and they were already sold out. Resellers make a killing off these and they kind of remind me of tickets selling out to brokers before normal people get their hands on them.
