Speed Solution FF3

Not sure if it's the tongue or something else maybe in the upper, but these felt a bit loose until I really tightened up the laces. Did get a match in tonight with them though and things felt pretty good. Think my feet have been getting a bit more beat up in the GR9s but felt pretty good in these. No issues with pinky toe soreness either which I sometimes had to deal with in the FF2s.

Had one moment where I did slip a bit on a split step but that was the only hiccup. Was also able to keep my balance and get traction back after the initial slip. May also have been due to tennis fuzz on the court which sometimes happens on these courts.

So disappointed in these. The older version was soooooo much better for me. Back to Resolution for me (unless anyone knows where the older version is on clearance or something)?

I couldn't agree more. The FF3's felt sluggish and like my feet were swimming around in them. I actually weighed them on a postal scale and they are heavier then the FF2's. Not sure how this is an improvement over the previous model at all.

I just bought a pair of these. I previously used the Speed Solutions a few years ago.

I bought a pair of GR8's in April. They've been durable but it's about time to go.

I noticed with the GR8's, my foot speed chasing drop shots and let cords had significantly gotten slower. I never used to have any issues turning on the jets to get those let cord balls and droppers. Again, great stability (I've been using them on the pickleball court too), but man running down balls on a full sprint going downhill and playing defense has become a lot more difficult.

I'm interested to see how light these Solutions are, and if chasing those droppers will be more smooth for me again.

I have fully switched to FF3 despite its cons and my initial impressions which were not good. Its more firm than FF2 but its more connected to the ground, more durable and more stable. Court FF3 has better lockdown and more stability but i got annoyed in the long run for how more mass i am having in my feet...... its fast too but with a bulky feeling (i dont want to think that i am wearing sth in my feet). I am not a fan of res9..... i prefer the more plush/smoother 8s. At the end of the day and leaving out the compromises of FF3 i am a lot faster in the court with these shoes and thats what matters.....instant change of direction and ultra fast (without hassle) small steps adjustment before contact. Also to add that these shoes give me a feeling of the old vapor zoom x.....

Initial impressions after using for about 5 hours (first day 2 hours of hitting, second day 1 hour of hitting and 2 hours of teaching all 3 hours straight).

MAN were they stiff out of the box.

The last time I had Solution Speeds (2021) they I used a runners knot (extra holes) and I didn't have an issue.

Bur my feet were in pain the whole session on Sunday. And some of it yesterday.

I removed the runners knot from my left shoe but kept it on the right, and it helped alleviate some of the tightness on the left shoe.

The upside is I definitely feel faster and wasn't having issues chasing wide balls and sprinting for droppers that I wasn't getting even close to previously.

I'm hoping this break in period with the shoes is brief because I do like the fact I am faster.

I'm only 5"7, so I absolutely need my speed when I'm hitting against tallers guys with heavy spin and power from baseline.

The GR8's had great stability and firmness. Never once had any issues in the 6 months I used them (the break in period wasn't as rough as these).

But I need my speed. And if you have good footwork and coordination you don't have to worry about injuries or ankle rolling, so I will sacrifice some of the stability/firmness for the lighter and speedier shoe.

Sprinting to short angle balls and drop shots was a noticeable difference, even if once the point stopped my feet were feeling suffocated. Lol.
