Speeding up the Game is Slowing it Down

Now that they've instituted the 25 second rule for servers to speed things up so they can get more predictable schedules for TV broadcasters, it seems to me that there are more un-necessary physio and toilet and shower breaks that cancel out any gains made by speeding up the servers. Just saw Tsongas take one against Fed for no apparent reason. The trainer gave him maybe a salt pill and that was that, he just won his serve so he couldn't have felt that bad. Players are getting massages on court, what next, acupuncture, cranio-sacral, group therapy?

It seems that whatever time they've gained by speeding up the server, they've given back in phoney physio breaks, toilet breaks and shot-spot challenges to gain some breathing time. Some points can go for a long time, perhaps infinity and they may need some time to recover their breath--are the tennis powers that be waiting for someone to have a heart attack until they rethink this silly new rule, it should be up to the ump if he thinks players are stalling. Shouldn't they have a serve shot clock so they know how much time they have?

They know exactly how much time they have.

I have clocked Nadal in several matches and when he wants or is forced to he serves EVERY TIME within the alotted seconds.

The problem is elsewhere.

Also, allowing for random lenght of the points has nothing to do with toilet breaks, massages etc.

They (lenght of the point vs. injury/bathroom break) also impact the game in a very different way.

Nadal might, he's so OCD his hair is falling out. He should be getting a consult with Andre's wig maker soon, get out the crazy glue.
