Spin hybrid set ups

Looking to try a hybrid set up. Was using PHT 17 full in my babo pure storm ltd, but coming off a wrist injury I want something softer. I think I'm going to go with technifibre biphase or nrg in mains 17 or 18 g in my mains, but my crosses I don't want to give up spin or power. Was wondering what the differences are between:

-big banger ace 18
-big banger power spin
-big banger rough
-big banger timo 18
-MSV hex 18
-black code
-polyfibre hightec
-topspin cyber flash

Also, do you think it would make sense to put the technifibre nrg/biphase in the crosses-or go with a more spin synthetic in crosses, and put the spin poly in the mains? As you can tell I'm nervous about my string, I just had my wrist scoped a few weeks ago and need something soft but spin friendly. Thanks and I eagerly await what ya'll have to say.

I would go with the black code or the MSV focus hex 18, both are soft and
offer good spin.

The Big Bangers all give good spin but will go dead very fast, and are not as soft.

If you are worried about your wrist i wouldn't put the poly in the mains, try the softer setup for awhile and give your wrist time to recover.

Kirschbaum Pro Line II 18L (1.15) String is one of the softest polyester strings I have played and the spin is unreal!!! A little on the pricey side… but it seems to last a little longer before going dead then some of the other polys I have tried… am still testing...

If you like the spin that PHT gives you, put that in the cross and then put a soft multi or natural gut in for the mains.

I actually don't like PHT, but babo gave me a reel of it so I've been using it because it was free. I don't think I get any real spin or power that I wouldn't get from like gamma livewire.

The slickness and stiffness of a poly is what gives poly it's extra spin quality. This is of the most importance in the crosses.

As far as I know all Lux strings have some amount of PTFE (teflon) in their formula, so that would be a good choice for a cross. Also Bab Addiction (thanks corners) and Prince Premier LT (soft, better for mains) have teflon in them. Yonex Super 850 Tour also has a slick coating, although maybe not teflon.

Hey there sublime,

Hate to question you again, but where did you read that Premier LT has teflon it? Are you sure you're not thinking of Recoil?
