Sponsorship Changes for 2024

Rublo now wearing Kswiss shoes!

Seems both Holger Rune and Lorenzo Musetti no longer wear current season of Nike outfits, guess contracts of both of them with Nike are over.

I wouldn’t read too much into this. It’s a weird part of the year where some players wear clay season outfits still and others wear pre-USO. It will be more telling once Canada and Cincinnati start.
Looks like Musetti is just wearing his Wimbledon whites in Umag (which is quite a bold choice on red clay!)

They could also be negotiating a new contract when they wear the basic stuff down from their usual outfits

the rumor I've read today is Nike may drop golf entirely. Could tennis be far behind? They'll just focus on team sports.
As well as Track & Field/running which started brand not to mention Nike has top tech or is tied with Adidas in said venture of running, same sport Adidas started on as well. Also, in School these sports are team and Olympics are on country teams. Almost forgot many places like cities have a running club/T & F Club, trail running club or some dumber running crews where you have to fit in a crew specifically like being a specific race, specific single part of LGBT+, or gender to be allowed in most of them.

Maybe worth noting, Seyboth Wild out of Joma and into generics post RG - logoless clothes with Mizuno shoes on grass and Nike on clay - obviously out of sponsorship

I love that guy, it u was in charge of player endorsement somewhere would irrationally give him a huge deal that would probably look horrible in hindsight lol

given the accusations against him (and his response to them), it would probably look horrible yeah - but he is fun to watch as a player

Oh shoot didn’t know about any of that, initial statement retracted, please replace w “I love his tennis”

Team gear is always negotiated by their nation. They do press and practice in the team gear, then switch to their own sponsors for matches
Yes, or some like the USA forced Wear Uniform clothing and can wear sponsorship under as a combo.

Actually I can see him going to Boss like Berrettini or Fritz with the "Social Media/Influencer" vibe but I see him more like a new Dimitrov in nike

New Dimitrov?

New Federer. But let's be honest, Musetto is 3x the looker Fed ever was.

Boss is German, no?

I could see him doing EA7 but I think his star is gonna burn too brightly for Nike to let him go. But I've been wrong before

Doesn't seem out of contract now. He wore the latest olympics colorway of Vapor 11 in his win against Monfils last night. But as the above said, can only confirm when we hit the North American swing.

yeah no just between seasons of clothing - Rune wore all black at the start of the year before Aus Open as well

That makes sense but Nike also definitely have a type and Musetti ain't it. So I would never be surprised to see them dump him
idk i feel like their type is changing and he's good looking/model worthy, has more followers online than Draper for example, has decent slam results, Federer-esque classic game... I could see Lacoste picking him up like they did Dimitrov potentially but in general I think Nike are pretty happy with him

What’s your gut feeling about Musetti at the OGs? Could he make a run? The guy is such a class act. He was running around like a maniac between Umag and the Olympics, and after the Monfils match the first person he was giving credit to was his wife, thanking her in the press conference.

His section is not an easy one with Zverev also in the mix. I see him probably out in the QF. Still a good run though considering his poor form before the Wimbledon. The Wimbledon SF really boosts his confidence.

Waiting collab K-Swiss + Rublo.

"I am incredibly excited to be partnering with a global brand like K-Swiss. I admire what the brand stands for and have been impressed with the team’s dedication and vision. I am grateful and thrilled to see our collaboration with my own brand, Rublo, bringing it to the next level. I couldn't imagine a better partner to join forces with, and I look forward to being part of the K-Swiss family."

Not really noteworthy names, but over the summer, Spain's Christina Bucsa switched from a Wilson Blade 98 to a Yonex Ezone 100, and Ecuador's Gonzalo Escobar switched from an old 2012 Pure Drive 100 also to a Yonex Ezone 100.
