Madison Keys appeared to be swinging a Yonex yesterday in Charlotte, Sloane’s IG story
I'd expect it to be an EZone. Always interesting to see a player move away from a company/line they have endorsed their whole career to play with something else. Hopefully it's fruitful for her as I feel she won't be around more than 2-3 more years max.

Stephens in ON shoes but still wearing FP Movement apparel.

They're big in the UK, moreso amongst women probably due to the yogi USP but especially their shorts are fairly common in the UK now especially in your boutique type fitness businesses. I have a hoody from them as the quality and feel is nice but it also doesn't have a logo on it. Are any male players wearing their stuff? I k ow Giron plays in competitor Vuori's gear and that's made me want to go to their store when I'm next in London.

I realize it’s an exhibition, but Keys appears to be using an Ezone 100 tonight in Charlotte.

EDIT: could be the 98. Tough to tell on the TV.

Since his results are getting worse every year and the unfortunate comments off the court and behavior in... Maybe Kyrgios is enough, Pericard might take his spot for the next few years.
But is surprising they dropped Tiafoe and keep Shapovalov for this long with the results he have, might be another miss from Nike after dropping Fritz and the considerable rise in rankings he have after he signed with Boss

We were talking about this in the Nike thread. I wonder if the "fukyoufukyoufukyou" tirade had anything to do with this decision

Shapo cost way less than Foe too. I hear Nike is pretty cut throat. Either you’re affordable, winning, or dropped in your 20s

It's a little sad, Tiafoe was half of Nike's sleeveless offerings and they were actually starting to sell his stuff at retail as opposed to just making PE

But yeah heard the same. I wonder why Fritz left--and I wonder if they regret that now

Also wonder if they regret the $150mm they committed to a doper...but that's none of my business

Medvedev was dropped by Wilson and Nike bc he wasn’t seen as an upcoming talent.

Lacoste/TF scored big time and was able to sign Novak and Iga.

Nike also made some comments about they were satisfied with never signing Djoko during the “vax” controversy.

If they drop Mussett they lose me forever

Boss/Lacoste/Hydrogen (Hopefully) might be waiting for this to happen, and add a poster tennis player with the "couture" touch
Lacoste scooped up Dimitrov although he’s more towards the backend of his career.

Nike is still doing fine with the men’s top two players for years to come and sabalanka on the ladies side.

Nobody can argue with that... But is necessary to have something else besides the top faces to show the rest of the season, Tiafoe have that element as Kyrgios a few years back.
And I really look forward to other brands bring other pros to wear their stuff.

Im struggling to find a worse looking brand than Hydrogen and EA7.

Lets hope he goes deep in a few slams and Nike decides to keep him. I think the 1 hander keeps him safe though

lol you think Nike cares about 1H?

They care about swag, new blood and street cred. Ironically Shapo's terrible rapping is likely what's kept the swoosh on him.

Hydrogen is terrible but EA7 made some decent stuff recently for Sonego and Foggo

Nope. They love the 1HBH and EA7 is pretty awful across the board. Italian brands try too hard where they dont have to

I think with Sinner and Alcaraz Nike can cut few players with ease. Anyways Tiafoe is irrelevant outside US Open. Too bad they cut both Americans.

If his gear wasn’t selling well he may be even a Jesus but they won’t keep him
I honestly don’t even keep up with Nike products they endorse. Nike has such a large portfolio in the shoe department I can’t really tell you if Foe or Fritz endorsed footwear sells.

I’m not sure they were viewing Fritz and Tiafoe as players who would sell their gear, probably more as brand ambassadors for the American market. They didn’t have exclusive kits, let alone kits that went to market. Nike seems to be going in a direction where signing a handful of premium players who can move merchandise/exclusive kits in their respective countries or across the globe like what they did for Fed, Nadal, Serena, and Maria. Osaka and her street wear line, whatever they have in the pipeline for Alcaraz/Sinner. I’d bet Qinwen will have exclusive stuff for the China market to purchase.

Who’s to say Nike was even offering top contracts to Fritz or Foe (or whoever else has left Nike)? I’m sure they saw better opportunity with different brands whether that be through exclusive kits, something more of their vibe/personal brand, better contract terms, etc.

It appears Musetti is trying out the new Asics Resolution X...

Just goes to show how gear affects the look of a player.

Musetti is one of the best athletes in the sport, but put him in some boxy shorts, compression tights and some hospitality industry looking sneakers in unflattering indoor light and he doesn’t look that much different to a high level club player o_O
