Nike simply getting out of the tennis business. Keep the top 4 players or so and that's it.

He is probably signed by Nike China/Nike Hong Kong. Nothing to deal with headquarters/Nike US. He also likely not getting a penny from Nike. He was ditched by Asics nearly a year ago and wearing random kits.

That is the thing - Nike is far from getting out of that market, they just launched new shoes and at this point, it is super easy to do light updates to clothing and sell them a ton every quarter, because other brands just do hideous things every slam.

But they won't pay players a lot, because they know they are the top brand.
So, for players that are not top 10 like Musetti, Tiafoe etc and even not their countries no. 1 player on Nike roster, you can decide between low money and Nike or medium money and some other brand. Especially the Tiafoe deal will be a much better one for him than Nike...
Same goes for someone like Berrettini who went to Boss - if you are the no. 1 player of a brand, you will get more money.period

They are incapable of giving Tiafoe an attractive shoe. Regardless of brand it would seem. That is the worst looking KSwiss shoe in a long time and they are not known for making attractive shoes in the first place. The Ultrashot 3 was a stand out in their history of ugly shoes.

As an aside, this looks like a skrait rip of the Y-3 Adidas Roland Garros stuff from a while back

Doumbia and Reboul from Fila to Asics
Bolelli and Vavassori from Mizuno to EA7
Pouille from Le Coq to Celio

I've bought socks, t-shirt and a pair of shorts by them, after Benoit Paire. The socks are GREAT! Would buy more if I didn't have to pay too much shipping to get them to Greece. I'll revisit them again though, see what they have.
Now, Moutet and is this Lucas Pouille?

Yes it's Pouille!

Saw this yesterday on a french Amazon series following a group of players until Roland-Garros (only the first episode is out, it might not be available on YT to people outside of France). They follow Pouille, Debru, Boisson, Efremova and Aravane Rezaï who is making a comeback.

From L'Equipe interview after his R1 win:
You played all in white. You don't have an equipment supplier anymore?
No, I don't have an equipment supplier anymore for the moment. I'm on the market (smile). That's life. I came to the end of my contract with Adidas, it didn't work out to continue. I'm all in white and it brought me luck today.

Don’t they also have Nakashima and Opelka?
I mean like those the Top 20-30 players, they used to be have a whole crop of unmarketable top players that weren’t scooped by Nike or Adidas, like Schwartzman, Isner, Cilic, Barty, Pliskova, Bertens, now they’re barely anywhere.

Bronzetti moved from Lotto to EA7 as well.

They have the two brightest and biggest stars in the game locked up for years. I doubt they’re missing Grigor or any of their other old contracts much. Tennis players aren’t as influential as we wish.

I’d argue that LeBron/Kobe helped sell more Nike tennis shoes than Grigor ever did.

They inked Sinner to a massive deal before he got popped for PED

I bet they have a bit of buyer's remorse now

I'd rather bet that noone outside of this very special place ( and NK) care much about the story when they buy their clothes

I am much more wondering why they have Sinner always in some basic clothing only - if he is your No. 1 then give him some special stuff
e.g. Polo shirts like they give Alcaraz his sleeveless ones

Celio should snap him and not Pouille. Would be more logical to add another hothead French j*rk to their players.

You dismiss what I'm saying and then wonder aloud why he's not getting treated as well as Alcaraz. The answer is right there for you sir

Noone cares for that Kyrgios slander...

And I am not saying that he is not getting treated well - I would very much guess he gets everything he wants and more, such as custom shoes
But Nike is just missing out on chances by not making more custom stuff for him

It's not slander when he popped a urine test twice sir

Dedicated tennis apparel doesn't sell a lot to begin with. How many people do you see wearing even Fedal tops at your local club or public courts? All I see is wet cotton tees

I can virtually guarantee Sinner's huge contract is a point of contention/sore spot within the building

Here in Switzerland literally every club player wore Fed’s Nike apparel.

Does anyone know if Celio does international shipping? Asking for NA region. I can only find resellers with their standard attire, none of their athletic/tennis stuff that moutet and paire wear.

To be honest I would not reccomend buying their gear - it’s cheaply made and just general gear and nothing special (they are more fast fashion in France)
Thanks I figured they were a premium brand but to be honest I don't really know French brands too well. I typically buy Lacoste and I know their stuff is high quality.
