Sponsorship Changes for 2026!

Shelton is not leaving On. No way! Ben Shelton is loyal to On and he prefers On as an outsider to Nike, as do a lot of people. I don't think he will sell out for Nike, just like I don't think Coco Gauff would leave New Balance and sell out for Nike!!!
He's got no source, so seems to be reckless speculation.
Or wishful thinking from a fanboi

While I must say I deeply appreciate his intel in Nike upcoming seasons' offerings which is way more than accurate, his track records in pro players switching sponsorships are not that great. And the (fake) news of Emma leaving Nike for Uniqlo from him was actually not the first time......

But I must say, pro players exploring new sponsorships is nothing new. It may be true that Ben Shelton is flirting with Nike, even though his contract so far with ON should still be in the early stage (i.e. 3 years as far as I remember)

In his defense...this article says shes set to launch her Uniqlo deal at Indian Wells:

Looking back in this thread, it was never said when she was moving to Uniqlo, only that she was.

Also why are you inserting yourself into this, respectfully?

I've been on this forum since the early days when it first opened. @Babolast joined in 2007. Over the past 19 years, many of their posts have revealed insider information that have led me to believe that they either work directly for one of the big brands or they have some connections with sports marketing or product development teams. For example, we'd have a visit with an athlete who would be signing a contract with the company I worked for, and then @Babolast would post something about that athlete not long after. Or they would post information about the upcoming apparel seasons that hadn't been released yet. It made me wonder if they knew the same people as me or if we had crossed paths somewhere IRL. Anyway, I've found their posts to be credible over the years.

Based on that, I decided to insert myself into the conversation and say something because comments like this just rubbed me the wrong way:

Thank you for your support and kind words.

received an email fro Wilson (AU) today with the new AdM 360 kit items.... expect he isnt wearing the new Rush Tour 5.0 (yet).. lol
looks expensive at AUD$319.95 though...
I’m always like “maybe I’ll check out Wilson for gear and shoes” and then the sticker shock is just petrifying

Shelton to Nike soon.

I hope this pans out. I’m not a big Shelton fan anymore, but having a top-10 American player who can wear a sleeveless will be a nice way to replace Frances.

I wonder how much money they threw at him, and whether this means they won’t re-up Holger Rune

hopefully they release some more white unisex tennis hats, down to my last few

Didn’t he just sign with On?

I thought so. But @Babolast is usually on point, a strike rate of 94.3.% is still pretty good @UnderArmServeOP lol

It would make a lot of sense IMO, I hope it is true

Bab, Nike seem to be taking tennis much more seriously now, I’m guessing they are readying a big push for the Big 2 branded gear? Having a third guy in the top 10 who’s American and has the Nike look would be a nice complement to the Big 2. Plus Shapo and Korda and Khachanov on presumably cheap deals…if you add Shelton that lineup achieves maximum swag minus the dearly departed prince Lorenzo

@gino You like my take Papa? I know you still can’t buy 9.5s in all the colorways but you have to admit the classic Vapor hints and random retros of Cage 4 popping up on TW are a bit tantalizing

Khachanov no longer with Nike but I concur with your view

I have a couple wilson shorts and they're actually pretty good quality. Some high quality details. They go on sale for like $40 and if you play USTA you can use your wilson coupon
Quality is reminiscent of the quality Nike had pre-pandemic

Regardless of how deep she goes in slams, she's going to help sell a lot of gear for the brand. Big win for them.
Which is all Uniqlo cares about in the European and Asian markets (and rightfully so). Results do matter and brands won’t be lining up like they were before if she doesn’t at least win a tournament. Other than that she’s just a model.

I mean the same is true for Fed.
They rarely had any of his tennis kits but now all he does is model their clothes.

Very true. Federer was/is a generational talent and had 20 grand slams behind him and the ability to sell gear based on one view. There’s a Uniqlo store in my area and it will be interesting to see if she’s featured.

Yeah, I live in FL and been to Disney many times, not sure I've ever seen a Fed poster in the Uniqlo store there.
Admittedly, have not been recently and it seems like they started pushing him into their lifestyle clothing alot more within the last year

I have a funny feeling Fed ends up back at Nike pretty soon.

As has been mentioned previously, Fed purchased a 3% equity stake - not shares - making him a part owner - as well as an active designer; this retained stake has contributed significantly to his billionaire status.
